Gentleman, I get your point now about fear of death. But you can be suidical while still being fearful of death and unable to actually kill yourself. So maybe people who actually manage to kill themselves would, in other conditions, be the ones who would risk or sacrifice their life for something else, because they are genetically unafraid to die.

But "suicidal disposition" isn't interchangeable with "unafraid of death".

I can't read any of those papers since you have to pay for them or something.

@chris- no it's the same person… he has a couple different lawlz accts. a couple people in our survivor tribe also helped him out, guess he also forgot about those guys. i offered to help him too, and he ignored me. he could use some self-awareness.

it's good for him that he's quit WL. he probably had too much time on his hands, fell down the rabbit hole and forgot what's important in life. happens to all of us. hopefully he feels better.

I get what your saying and there are other genes to that probably overlap. Like with most things its probably not just one thing in particular but likely a combination of factors. And they have not pinpointed specifically what gene or genes are likely responsible. There just happens to be an incredibly strong correlation with certain genes and suicide as well as familial ancestry and suicide. So causation as not been completely established at this point.

An interesting question to ponder could the genes responsible for pathological altruism by related or similar to the genes for suicide?

they seem to be on two ends of the same scale in my opinion.

Not remotely criminal. Also not remotely "finishing off an endangered person". You committing suicide is never someone else's fault. Never. Your problems have solutions, it is no ones fault but your own if your answer to those problems is to run away from them. Your reaction is just that, YOUR reaction, it is not the result of someone else's action.

On the subject itself, I started from the first page, and these seem to be directly targeted at him, after starting he wouldn't read the messages. I know he's still active in games, but I see no response on here, so I have no clue if he is or not.
