Update:

All groups are finished except group B, which has two games still in progress (turns 12 & 9 approximately); so it is possible that Season 3 could begin fairly soon. However, there is a possibility of another 3-way tie in Group B that would need resolution to see who will join Militarymaniact in promotion to elite Group A. If that happens, I propose to setup another 3-way tournament with quick autoboot settings.

IN THE MEANTIME: this is a good time to indicate whether you wish to join the league (and welcome to J R Mikkelson) OR, if you are a current player who WISHES TO RETIRE from the league, to let me know now, before I automatically get you started in season 3. It's much better for everyone for a player to quit between seasons rather than after a season has begun.

As indicated above, I expect there to be at least 8 groups for season 3 which will hopefully start within a couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience, especially you group D and E players.

I guess it will hold up Group D a bit, but that is acceptable if you are on V. There's likely to be lots of vacations going on over the summer months, we'll continue to respect that.

I've thought about this a bit more. Since we already know about your group's composition, Bluemonkeyman, maybe we can get at least your group of Season 3 started a bit early. If you join the tournament and then go on vacation later, other players in your group can get playing each other and not be completely delayed by you.

The final tournament ended today, but we are not quite done the season! The last game (in Group B) resulted in another 3-way tie, this time for second place between Ineffable, Warlord and Bakapon. Only one of the 3 will advance to elite Group A. Several tie-breaking ideas have been floated, but none have been altogether satisfactory. Until now, tie-breaking tournaments have not delayed new seasons. This time it will a bit. I'm speeding this 3-way R. Robin with a 2-day autoboot setting.
