I don't get the reason for making this thread. You're still in the second round of the tournament it's not such weird to find a player like that. Would've understood it if it was at an advanced stage, but..

Probably just someone venting a little frustration. I don't know, but isn't it much better to make a semi-pointless thread than yelling at your opponent in game chat (giving N-W-G an unpleasant experience and Red a warning)?

In such situations I always just pen the persistent fool in and expand to take over the rest of the map. Leave them with their 5 income facing 90+ and unable to move. If they refuse to surrender they can pay the consequences of their stubborn refusal

I don't know. If you never use it, and nobody tells you, and you're not of the exploring type, you may never get to it. For example, I didn't know you could transfer only for a very long time until I was randomly told. These aren't things you look for. But hey, it's not as if your life is ruined by a person who doesn't surrender.
