Well Burgoo King has offered nothing constructive to this thread...

The point isn't what it should be named (you can call it USA Southeast for all I care). The point is whether a name that is correct geographically is a better idea or not at all. Would changing the name to something more fitting make game play worse? I don't really see how. All I do is hover over a territory and use that name in a chat.

In fact, if a teammate said "West China" instead of "Xinjiang", I would find it much faster. That name sounds like China, so I would get to the general area pretty fast. But what about "Novalazerevskaya"? If I saw that I would be looking in Russia to start, not Antarctica.

Chris, usually people put links onto map names these days, so you dont really need to go looking that far.

However I do understand your point, but most people know roughly where florida is, or where brazil is, or Ghana, but all of these have many other places (florida other states, ad the rest many countries) but are the largest in the area (debate-ably). EG, it would be better to call the territory named brazil Brazil, instead of Guiana, French Guyana, or other South American countries which that territory goes over.

The lack of geographical correction lowers rangs on stand alone games but they just don' t know why.
