I see a fox literally every time I'm out after 8pm. they're pussy bitches and even scareder than cats, the animal from which the term scaredy-cat is derived.

Wild foxes are boisterous. One knocked on my patio and ignored me as I tried to shoo it away.

@Mulva:

Remember to keep in mind that only about 90% of Americans identify as Democrats or Republicans, so 45% is where the 50% line effectively is if we're talking Republicans vs. Democrats.
Additionally:

You can see that, with the exception of the tiny number of American post-grads, increased education correlates more strongly with a Republican vote. This chart is still true despite the fact that, for decades, far more Americans have registered as Democrats than Republicans.

The bottom graph is what % of people lean left or right, which has nothing to do with intelligence. The middle graph suggests that the more educated a white voter is the less likely they vote right which is what mulva said. Also (totally irrelevent) the richer they are the more likely they are to vote right. The top one makes no comparison between left and right. It simply says that less people with either no HS diploma or a post grad degree vote right.

IDK what youre trying to prove but you havent done.

Speaking of education...

The bottom graph is what % of people lean left or right, which has nothing to do with intelligence.

You obviously didn't read the comments that I put in the margins. The bottom graph supported my saying that more educated voters vote Republican despite a majority of voters in general identifying as Democrats.

The middle graph suggests that the more educated a white voter is the less likely they vote right which is what mulva said.

It seems pretty darned clear that, especially in the 2008 election, those with a High School through Bachelor's degree education vote right much more than those without (the tiny number of post-grads in America makes that statistic almost irrelevant.) Additionally, this graph shows the voting tendencies of only white Americans. It doesn't include the black demographic. I'm not at all being racist, but it is true that the average black person gets less education than the average white person, and is also vastly more likely to vote Democrat.

The top one makes no comparison between left and right.[i/]

The fact is, as I even explicitly stated, roughly 90% of American voters identify as either Democrats or Republicans, so the any graph of a Republican voting share implicitly includes the graph of a Democrat voting share, and vice-versa. That much is very clear.

Please read my assertions and take a moment to consider them, don't just respond with an ignorant and angry response.

Yeah I read it all, it didnt make me angry. I guess im just ignorant. I dont look at these graphs and see 'people who vote right are more educated'.

Sorry, read that sentence out of context the first time.

The bottom graph was not irrelevant because it was a support for my margin comments. It is an additional support for primarily the second graph.

Just got back from a run, so I wasn't reading your comments so clearly. I wrote that 40-45% is the true middle for the first graph instead of the third graph, which was I meant to say. So basically I wasn't misreading the graphs, I was just tired :P

Oh, hello Mr "I'm a Republican". What's that you've got there for me? Charts with unattributed data? That definitely seems credible. And you selected these particular graphs to fit your pre-existing opinion? Yes, certainly, I'm going to think long and hard about those.

Remember to keep in mind that only about 90% of Americans identify as Democrats or Republicans, so 45% is where the 50% line effectively is if we're talking Republicans vs. Democrats.

But this measures vote share ... self-identification is irrelevant. & I'm not sure what the point of your third graph is at all.

the tiny number of post-grads in America makes that statistic almost irrelevant.

No, it's not any more or less irrelevant. I'm not going to explain to you why.

Just got back from a run, so I wasn't reading your comments so clearly.

nobody cares, you bastard. i had to spend valuable seconds of my life reading this pointless sentence. fuck. you've wasted everybody's time. identifying the relevance of things seems to be a big problem for you.

Please source these graphs. I would love to read what the originator intended to show. I'm dubious that it is the same message you are attempting to extract. Interesting that they can be read so differently though.

Also, it is clearly very difficult to untangle education and wealth (especially in America) when considering their effects on political stance.

It's too bad, Mulva, that you are just like so many of my friends: nice and funny until politics get involved when they begin to start personally attacking me. I never attacked anyone personally. I'm really sorry that I inconvenienced you by writing a sentence that you didn't like and chose to read anyway.

I'm sorry to everyone who was willing to critique my argument and get critiqued in return, and, while most of you want to have a good solid political debate, there is a minority who are willing to attack those that argue against them, which spoils the fun for us all. I hope at least some of you can see my point of view.

Sure I think I got it: voting for the republican party doesn't = Idiot. I agree with that.

But this thread was about Fox News and their tendencies to distort viewers conception of the world we live in by disregarding facts or just making up facts as the go along.

It's kinda hard to argue against that because... Well, facts are facts.

Darkpie, that's not what I'm talking about at all. I said "point of view" as in seeing that Mulva completely escalated the debate beyond what it needed to be. I'm done with this argument on the forum as it is.

If you don't, you need to develop a) a sense of humour and b) thicker skin. X's means his points, but since this is a gaming forum and he doesn't take it seriously as you would an actual debate, he's more laid back.
