Looking at that game, I'd say it was a won game. I hit SA next turn 28v18, followed by 3v2 (roughly, luck might change that a "bit"), to most likely remove him from south america, then kill his central start with us on even income and me having far, far, more armies on the board.
Sure, he was alone in Asia, but West China and Central Russia were both wastelanded.
Would have been equal income, with ~24 armies on the board for him and ~37 for me with better expansion options for me.
I'm fairly mediocre. I win ~75-80% of autogames, but almost always lose to the top players, so if I was going to win it's quite clear that he's not even remotely close to being the best player.

@Scorched Earth : That is presuming you would be able to get in the first attack, he could also opt for sidestepping your main attack if he gets first move order. Seeing as he might have gotten the +5 card, sidestepping with 22 armies will reput pressure on your antartica leaving you with just australia.
The way you deployed your troops back seems to me to negate the advantage in army count.

Actually Nauz, He had that game won if he plays ok. He had the card and could have 23 armies on that territory to hold it. All he has to do is sit there for a couple turns and you are done. His picks are good and his play is pretty good as well. I wouldn't say he's the best but he's defintiely a pretty good player.
