I'm going to take a swing at the 2v2 ladder, and I have a few questions.

How does playing strategic 2v2 differ from playing strategic 1v1?

Who are the top 2v2 players? I would like to know who's games to look at. I will be looking at gui/beel because gui will be my teammate.

what strategies dominate?

who wants a practice game? I would like to get up to speed and try some stuff out in real time.

Miyagi teach pig all he needs to know, all in good time. Watch my games to find out domination tactics. Learn the arts you will

It's a lot like playing strategic 1v1 except with two brains working and 4 starts instead of three. Being dead piggy and all, I think you can figure out how to have the best starts. Because the 2v2 ladder template is the same as the 1v1 ladder template, battles work out fairly similarly to those of the 1v1 ladder. I have not seen much of Gui/Beel, but I do know that some long-lasting players that have done well in this ladder for estended periods of time are:

-unknown/Ribena (have been on the ladder in slot 1 or 2 for as long as I can remember)

-dunga/HHH (definetely check out some of theirs)

-Artham/Nord (Not the greatest 1v1 players, but beasts as a team)

-Sze/Gnuff (Sze is Sze, and Gnuff has some serious skill at 2v2)

I hope you find these tips helpful. Good luck in the 2v2 ladder (and watch out Ribena and unknown...)!

There was a thread about the history of the 2v2 ladder but it seems to be gone. Maybe someone saved it. Fizzer really should archive more threads.

Some good teams (older games though):

Pick strategy is way different than 1s though. Also, gotta make gift card count. Screwing that up can spell doom.

yea, i agree arc. gnuff doesn't have any real skill in 1V1, you can see that by his ladder rank

Where does ARC say Gnuff doesn't have any 1v1 skill?
