The fact that she is in her mid teenage years makes me say that.

It's perfectly normal for teenagers to be in a phase of their life in which they're very uncertain and prone to adjusting to subcultures just in order to feel like they belong in a group.
Developing changes in one's physical body, the new experiences and challenges set to teenagers of this current generation all have their impact in the immature mind of our kids.

So Naomi wearing hoodies and or loose jeans is probably not merely an attribute of her personality but more so a part in the process of growing up.
Give or take a few years she'll grow out of this phase and wonder why she ever even worse such silly clothing.

The inecurity and rebelliousness *is* her personality (part of it), thats why it shows through in her clothes. It isnt going to lead to a bad career or boyfriend any more than wearing a suit, or a halter neck would. It will lead her to a job and BF that suit her.

Schizo thats not irony...what is this forum becoming?

So what does Aranka wear, if she dresses according to her personality?

Probably either this or an SS uniform.

@Annoyong - I won't answer towards that obvious attempt at flaming since I don't want this to become another YAAT

@Schizo - Be glad you removed your pink moustache, better to not have it

@Dead Piggy - One's "insecurity and rebeliousness" might be part of one's personality, but more often then not is also a certain phase. Especially in the case of teenagers like I already said.
Just look towards the field of psychiatry: A person who is feeling down because he or she is in a depression, doesn't mean that that is also his/her personality.

another YAAT

Yes, that would be redundant. This is a Naomi thread!

1. What is wrong with hoodies and loose jeans? Sounds warm and comfortable to me.

2. How is it rebellious? j

3. How do you know that she does not express her personality in that way? Maybe her hoodies are really precocious, or whatever.

Just look towards the field of psychiatry

Ignore this quack. If anyone would like psychologically-astute fashion advice, just ask in my Ask Ozymandias thread! The Martyr Complex is in, this season. Try accessorising with a cardigan for that "casual sociopath" look.

Oooohhhhhh ouo I got a whole thread for me.

And even better, Aranka and Piggy have finally found something other than the bedroom and the kitchen to argue about. *pulls out gummy bears and watches* Depending on the outcome of this argument, I may be influenced to pull out a few of the nicer shirts I have folded and put on a high shelf.

Btw, hoodies are very warm and comfy, and also easy to hide in.

Shall you three also argue over how I care to do nothing but brush my hair and sweep it back into a pony tail in the morning?

What is ironic you ask?

start looking for a set of clothing which reflects the person you really are, instead of hiding behind an imagined youth culture.

This is ironic.

as i already started with latin etimology today, personality, as well as person, come from latin persona which originally was mask, like an actor would use, thourgh which feelings were to be shown.... do you see where this is going at? if not, im not in one of those days in which i feel like feeling the dots

Why is there a problem with hoodies? Comfortable, warm, hood for rain and keeping ears and neck warm in the cold and you can wear them to play sports...

i hate when ppl start using complex terms in english, like hoodies... i've been replying all this time without spending the time to search for its meaning (though i assumed what it was, and as i checked correctly, in association with the jeans), pls speak plain english, like that which would appear in a philosophy book or something to that, i can control that, not complex stuff like hoodies

best regards,
myself

schizo, hoodie is in no way a complex word. It is a vestment with a hood on it, and usually associated with tracksuits, not jeans I would think...

The easiest way to think about it is that for something to be ironic, the person saying it has to intend for it to be ironic. Otherwise it is hypocrisy, coincidence, self-contradiction, or something else.

Sarcasm is the simplest form of irony.

i have intelligence answers

I don't know on what basis you say this, because everything you have ever posted here has been worthless, unreadable garbage. You are worse than Aranka.

I don't know anyone that wears hoodies with sweatpants.

Then again I don't know much of anyone that wears sweatpants. Not proper sweatpants anyway, I see women wearing pants made of somewhat similar material, usually the ones which say "Pink" or "Juicy" or similar on the ass (which amusingly enough are almost never worn by females I'd actually deem attractive, not sure why women with horrific asses wish to bring that much attention to their ass).
