Thank you guys. =) It was a happy day for me, too. Though I knew it was a bit premature, because I only became 1st by lapse of time....at this point. I got two games running right now and one against Grona which will decide for real.

Funny point is, I took it slow by playing only two games at a time. It proves that even this is a valid strategy just by winning all of them - or most.

@Old Skill: Don't talk about cowardice while hiding your identity. If you bother so much, enter the ladder, climb it up and you will have your challenge. At least I got there not by words.

Though I won't claim I got there by deeds, but all honor is to the Lord, my god, my Jesus, my savior, Prince of Peace, King of Kings and Lord of Hosts. He is mine and I am His. =) He granted me victory. Hehe. :D

I think I played the best game yet against Dreuj whom I am personally ranking much higher than his actual rank. He will rise to the Top Five and will compete for first place.

@OldSkill: Come back when you got a name. I will definitely accept your challenge, if you were #1 at some point. I will accept the challenge, too, if you are some player of renown who never played in the ladder. For example someone like myhand. (Just a wild guess.) But I simply cannot answer to the challenge of a noname false identity. That is beyond my rank. There is nothing in it for me and most importantly you got no right to challenge. Please earn it.

@ Old Skill: Oh yes, and please accept that I am usually taking it slow - not only in the ladder. I will have my 3 days, if you don't mind. ;) I could be softened by my opponent's pain though when his situation is desperate and he cannot bear the delay.

Julkorn - congratz for taking #1.. but i must say you seem to be one of the least modest of all times.. what you wrote to oldskill sounded somewhat like "i am a ladder #1 now, so you are not worth my time". That's not the humble at all.. and you've been on top of the ladder for an hour.. and modesty would be appropriate especially since you have not won against any #1 on your way up.. :/ that of course doesn't change the fact that you are probably way better in 1v1 than i am.

PS: I'm not oldskill, but: oldskill has been a ladder #1, has beaten a lot of #1s, and myhand was a ladder #1 as well so you made a few mistakes in what you said before.. ;)

Thank you for your thoughts, Malamute. But you will agree that a right to challenge has to be earned on any rank. You have to make the bids match. That is a rationality.

Even, if you disagree on this, you will agree, that a challenger should have the decency to show his face.

And in the end I still think that WarLight cannot be dominated, but that any top player can beat any top player, once the key techniques are well spread and refined enough, because you just got so much "correctness" in moves. The rest is empathy, guessing and luck, which will decide. This is my modesty towards any rank in Top Twenty.

So as I said I would take his challenge "mano a mano", so to say. ;) But not like this. He deserved my immodesty by hiding his identity and trying to pull a McFly. I consider his flaw bigger than mine.

I'm not much of the forum guy as I used to be (explains why I'm postin so late) but lately I've been not paying attention to the forums anymore for the sudden influx of useless s**t that happens here nowadays.

Now, I'm unsure whether I've missed something, or you guys are just making a snide comment here, but I would like an explanation as to why you dragged us into a thread where you are clearly expressing victory on one of your clanmate's achievements.

I've had good experiences wih your clan, and so has the rest of [V.I.W], please do not ruin this by a stupid comment on the forum.

I know your clan is recently undergoing vast amounts of criticism, please do not add another enemy to that list...
