And Major Tom has moved on :) Who would have thought. Another dead clan.

CW i useful for IDLE. if you are bored of that you won't participate.
Not really. Most tournaments are just a measly few coins prize, CL is nothing but glory, QM the same, but people play them. And the rewards for Idle for most clans participating are pretty paltry.

Agree that CW is useful for Idle, but I'd play it even if it had 0 rewards, the same way I play regular WZ games that have 0 rewards (XP means nothing to me now, I've already unlocked everything).

While I like the idea of CW, I hate the mechanics. So so poorly implemented. A great idea implemented in a terrible way. Many feel the same way. When a huge chunk of WZ's most active and passionate player base actively rejects something, it should be a wake up call.

CW sucks because it
1) is not a competitive event; too much work for too long.
2) is not a casual event; you must be in clan.

I would argue that CW is too competitive, for the same reason καλλιστηι stated, too much work for too long. It's a hard grind.

What's good about it: it's a whole team effort. You can't even break top 5 without having 10+ players consistently participating. This is good imho b/c it puts the focus on the participation & WR of the team rather than just a few skilled players to carry the clan.

What's bad about it: to actually compete to win, it requires the whole team of 30+ to grind so hard that it's work, and the fun is significantly diluted.

What's odd about it: it's pitched as a casual competition, but requires non-casual commitment to succeed.

The good news: there are lots of easy fixes to improve it, many good recommendations already made by the community.

The bad news: none of them have been implemented, no changes planned. More of the same coming up for the foreseeable future.
