They reported that the best way to defeat Strecko's kingdom was to wait for Strecko to die because Strecko was really old and was near death anyway. Once Strecko had died of old age, his kingdom would be easy to take as there was no obvious heir to the thrown. Prince Mennovai went away to think about the plan and decide if he was to implement it or not.

But Strecko realised the threat to his lands, as well as his oldness, considering that the monarch had already reached the ripe age of 102. So after hearing of the attack by Hrvat-land, he decided to change the successive laws of his realm, so that the strongest vassal would take the throne instead of his weak great-great-grandson who was 12. This aggravated the little boy so greatly that he had to be grounded for a week, while the vassals grew in loyalty. Especially the Duke of Angvur, who was a very capable strategist and the new apparent heir.

After the great-great-grandson, named Prince Ubica, grew to the age of 18, he left home. King Strecko was on his death bed, at the age of 108, and the Duke of Angvur was ready to take his place. However, Prince Ubica wanted the throne. He assassinated the Duke of Angvur with his bare hands. The boy had finally lived up to his name.(you can translate ubica to Croatian if you want) With his work done, Ubica became first in line for the throne.

However, he was then killed immediately.

General Aurexus then rose to power, becoming the de facto ruler of the entire kingdom. With an unmatched strategic prowess, he was the finest commander in the land.


He ordered a 40,000 man draft across the kingdom and its vassals. Each family would relinquish either the father, the firstborn son or another son in order of priority.

This caused much unrest, and only 5,000 men were recruited. He dubbed them " Aralakh Legion " and set them to battle with Mennovai's army, which was stationed not far from " Rex " 's palace grandee.

Aurexus discovered that in his kingdom, there were underground groups that were plotting to overthrow him. He also found that they would speak in an unspeakable language. In a fit of anger, he banned the use of any tongues other than Sivletsky,a slavic language and his mother tongue. Because much of the population had no knowledge of Sivletsky, many men were killed and wives were raped and murdered. Children as young as 4 years old were abused and forced to enlist as child soldiers sending the recruits up to 12,000 people.

But one man named Thexes rebelled against Aurexus. He united many Groups against him and by Autumn, they sieged the Capital. Looting and Plundering like Barbarians. By the Middle of Winter, they have taken the Capital and Aurexus has fled to the Khaffar Peaks. Upon rising to the Throne, Thexes went to the Far Mountains of the East where the Great Dragon of Time rests

And the dragon killed him.

but then he came back to life

and died again.

and he came back to life even once more. Although now no one knew which one he really was, the first one to die, the first one to come back to life and the second oen to die, or the second one to come back to life.

King Thexes received a dire report from the Aralakh Regiment fighting Prince Mennovai.

He told him "im sure that I could be a move star if I could get out of this place..."

The Aralakh Regiment had been slaughtered with only 5 men left alive. The Prince's army was rapidly advancing. Soon they were at the capital, Kalassos, gates. The Capital was seemingly empty when they had came, but as soon as the war trumpet blew, hundreds, thousands, millions of men charged at the army. The casualties were tremendous, but in the end...

The line held.

Prince Mennovai had to recall every standing soldier to his lines. King Thexes had held fast and won out in the end. But the casualties were through the roof. Almost the entire kingdom and its vassals were depopulated. Few had the capacity to work. Those who did were needed for military service. Thexes called upon what few commanders he still had to commence a gathering.

" My great leaders... " Thexes said. Before him stood the 4 remaining marshals of his armies : King Juel ( Jew-ell ), a master of surprise tactics ; Lord Montgomery, a man of expert analysis comprehension skills ; General Kampf, the last remaining true military officer who could operate any battlefield like a chessboard ; and Mark Victor, the most renowned blacksmith in the land. He often capitalized on the superior equipment that they had at their disposal to create elite companies of troops.

" ... We are gathered to take the fight to Mennovai's Heartland. We've lost our mothers. We've lost our sons. We've lost our brothers. We've lost our fathers. We've lost our cousins. And most importantly of all : we've lost our fervor. But here we stand, ready to take the fight to them, and bring peace and liberty to the entire world once and for all. "

Juel was quick to object : " My lord, King Thexes, this is an outrage! We have just lost at least 80% of our population! How can we fight a war in this condition!? In fact, how can we do ANYTHING? I say we entrench ourselves for Mennovai's next assault, and use some scorched earth to lure him where we want him ; then, pounce on him when he least expects us! "

Kampf despised this. " No, Juel. We have lost too much as you have said, but we cannot abandon our land for some risky military stratagem. We take the fight to Mennovai. It is our only option. We might not have the numbers, but Victor here can reinforce what's left of our true army corps. "

Victor agreed. " I am with Kampf on this one. We'll use our army corps as our primary assault force. We'll gather up our remaining civilians and speedily train them into militias. Then, we shall send them out as a diversion while our primary corps advance and invade Mennovai's lands. "

Montgomery thought otherwise. " Prince Mennovai is poorly tempered and is reckless. Juel's plan would be much more successful in the end, and it offers a better chance of success than straightforward assault. It's also possible Mennovai is already entrenching, and planning to wait out the coming Winter months. "

Juel liked this idea, but, after hearing Kampf and Victor, thought up a new possibility : " We could ambush them during the Winter! Think of it, everybody wins ; you 2 get your straightforward assault, I get my ambush and surprise tactic, and Montgomery should already be capable of analyzing this as a perfect plan! "

Montgomery was quick to snap " Are you crazy!? The militias don't have the equipment to survive wintertime warfare, and our army corps are already so badly beaten! No, we can't do that.

Kampf decided to back up Juel " Hmmm, yes. Juel has a point. And, Montgomery, we could easily divert primary resources to - "

Eventually, Thexes stopped listening. Hearing his remaining generals bicker gave him a glimpse of what his Kingdom's bleak future was going to look like. He remembered the past, when things were well. His preceding King, Aurexus, would've solved this war problem long before it became a problem. He reminisced about the old world as a whole, really; back when Hrvat-land was controlled by King Strecko. How his Kingdom's views had changed since then, it was marvelous. They were once terrible monarchs, now they were fighting for justice and liberty against Prince Mennovai's tyrannical rule of Marklel-land. This thought brought him to another; these strange lines of succession. Before King Croivan, there was only the Marklel-land Republican Government. Then Croivan, a farmer, rises to power? Strange. And his spoiled son, Mennovai, then becomes the ruler. And back when Strecko was in power? He would have never guessed that his little brat named Prince Ubica would take the reins of leadership, and then a poor man named Aurexus would become the finest commander in Hrvat-land and would take his own place. Thexes had 2 powerful names to live up to. It was great pressure indeed. It was unfortunate it had to draw out this long. The last few fights would be terrible, but their is no price tag for liberty. At all costs, they had to win. He took a deep breath, and using the evidence and testimonies all Marshals brought up, he made a decision.
