I got this annoying message after sending just 10 lines to a game... given that game is a multiplayer team game where I kinda organise our tactic, how is 10 messages enough to organise a team of 5? Also this blockage after 10 is considering all private & team & public together, so if you speak a bit too much somewhere, you cannot even DM other people, the game just refuses to get your messages... this restriction is blatantly stupid, plz dev stop being that stupid and think twice before enforcing rules that might break a game strategy ongoing !!

Not sure exactly how the delay but I think it's only 5-10 mins, could be wrong though
I've encountered the same while also hosting games; perhaps it should be waived for game hosts? Not sure what rule could be used for this to still prevent abuse
Or is it even required? Who abuses this now?

Totally not 5-10 min, I posted the message after getting that shitty block, and I still can't send anything to that game, it's pending and it's over 20 min easily

It should be waived for all ! The restriction as it is isn't even thoughtful, it's plain stupid, it should be something like max 10 messages per 10 minutes maybe, and only if on the exact same chat canal... right now it isn't, and it's just annoying the good developpement of normal game
That feature is redundant as well, there is the blocking feature, if someone is annoying, just block and you won't see his messages, that's all, no need to add such a nuisance of a feature !

I'm still blocked and cannot send messages to that game after over 10 hours.
That warlight uservoice is not about resolving immediate issue, which is my case, so where should I post the bug, because we can call it a bug at this point I believe

Definitely sounds like a bug. In my experience hosting games, it was a higher # of messages in a short amount of time that got me temporarily in-game chat banned and it wasn't a long lasting effect. I would send 1-2 updates to each of 39 other players each turn, so I learned to put a 1 min pause here and there to avoid the ban, but even when it hit, it wasn't a big deal
Your issue sounds like it activated much sooner and is multi-day, which is definitely not the same functionality
My bug reports have never gone more than 2-3 days without a response, and a couple times even within a couple hours
It's not the same process as reporting someone
But if you content is also along the lines of "BS msg restriction WTF dev" then not so sure, lol - that's a rude way to address the issue

No I didn't make it along those lines, I'm still waiting the answer, I've given the game link, the screenshot of the message I got and how I got it, and it's about 10 messages I sent that day in a "somewhat" short period, but the period is like 5min, so maybe they take into account previous messages sent other days prior to that, and maybe people not answering me each time made it look like I just keep sending messages? but days in between, so I don't really get it...

Ok, got an answer from fizzer, so apparently it's just because I didn't get any answer yet from any ally :
Counting messages :
8 messages in team 20 dm to first ally 8 dm to second ally 14 dm to third ally
So over the last 10 days, I did send 50 messages in those 4 different chats in the same game, and now I'm blocked, plain and simple, until one of them answer something... I still think that's pretty dumb to set a number without any time frame limit on it and just ban you from messaging in the game, I do an average of 1.2 message / chat / day here and still get blocked
