Just noticing, the bottoms and sides of the map are really empty, and it kind of bothers me.

Yeah, it was a mistake I made at the beginning with the dimensions of the SVG, but I never went back and fixed it, and I'd now have to re-position all the centre points if I wanted to change it.

put some sort of frame or other decoration in the space, that would be better than sea :P

Having a blank/empty space is not that bad. It keeps the ads out of the map :)

I did originally include the Antarctic, but I received more negative than positive criticism about it, so I removed it.

By the way, I should be able to make it public in about 20 hours.

Yeah, I also really like the idea of the Ancient World Map, but it will take a very long time to make. I think what I might do is just add one or two bonuses each day and then in a few months' time I will have finished it.

As for this new map regarding France, I think I'll make it the Kingdom of France, so just before the revolution happens. "On the eve of" maps are often the way to go.
