There's also severe economic drawbacks to divorce. Which raises the question as to why people in modern society seem to like getting divorced more than they like getting married.

What the fuck does women not getting married have to do with men being wary of commitment? I wasn't aware men just decided, hey, I like you, I'm marrying you.

It's also very possible to have a relationship that doesn't result in a marriage. Happy and long lasting relationship at that.

Divorce can actually be quite profitable if you can keep half of your ex's money and the kids. About 2/3 of all divorces are filed by women. Coincidence?

actually, theres severe drawbacks to getting married, specially for poor people, due to losing benefits once married.

That's wrong, a marriage has some advantages fiscally speaking (less taxes, easier procedures for daily life).
But in some countries like France you have some possibilities to avoid a marriage: The PACS (civil solidarity pact), which more or less give the same rights and advantages as for a married couple (and you also avoid endless and costing divorces)

Don't be ridiculous. It's clearly men who are being little man-children and playing video games instead of growing up and getting married. That's what real men do. I just showed you a link, here it is again:

http://www.pewresearch.org/daily-number/young-men-and-women-differ-on-the-importance-of-a-successful-marriage/

And divorces are initiated by women more than men probably because the man is either lazy, does not do his equal share of the housework, or he abuses here. All good reasons to file a divorce. It's pretty misogynistic, actually, to assume that women do it because they want to have 50% of a man's money. That's not what it is about.

Not in america. In america marrying means MORE taxes, and you will lose benefits like medicare/food stamps.

Someone sounds angry she can't find anyone willing to marry her sorry ass. Try furthering yourself as a human and being less of a clingy bitch.

"The share of young men (ages 18 to 34) who say that having a successful marriage is one of the most important things in their lives has dropped six percentage points since 1997, from 35% to 29%."

It shouldn't be one of the most important things in ones life. That's true for men and women. Even 63% of women agree with that. Only a small minority of either gender think it's one of the most important life goals.

A womans goals should be to advance herself, not to find a man and then rely upon him to provide for her.

"Not in america. In america marrying means MORE taxes, and you will lose benefits like medicare/food stamps."

No, married couples in America pay far less taxes.
