There is nothing wrong with the weather in Norway. I will stand by this statement. It is normal weather.

Oh please. Scotland is getting snow in April. We see nothing wrong with this. So why should there be something wrong with Norway getting months of snow as well?

Honestly, no. Scottish people are incredibly resilient to cold weather.

... Yes, you can put it that way as well.

What I'm trying to say, is that the transition for me to Norway would be nothing. They have relatively the same climate and weather, and a stronger economy, it seems natural for Scottish people to move to Norway, but their language is very difficult to understand.

Woah, did RvW just reply on something? :O You are still alive... :O

Well, either I'm still alive or my ghost came back to haunt short-sighted, xenophobic guys who pull a Godwin in practically each and every single one of their posts and still expect to be taken seriously...

Hmm, I was gonna say "you decide", but then again, both are equally likely, so better to just answer: yes, I'm still alive. :)

You're a communist. It's 1000 times worse than being nazi.

I suspect you have no idea what communism is about and are getting "communism" confused with "what Stalin did and called communism (even though it had barely anything to do with actual communism)".

Just about everything you hate about communism is not part of "communism" but part of "a dictatorship with a lunatic despot in charge". Real communism is essentially just a "stronger" form of socialism..., you know, the predominant system in Northwestern Europe.

The thing that puts me off, however are the languages. Despite them having (despite Finland) Germanic tongues, I would find learning their languages impossible. They clump a bunch of S Y and J together and call it a word.

That's what puts you off!? Have you ever looked at their prices of alcoholic drinks? :p

Ah well, at least they include a vowel in every word, there's also languages out there which say "here's a bunch of consonants, we consider this a word" (I'm looking at you, Slavic languages!). Besides, just about everyone in the Nordic countries speaks workable English; it's not like learning the language is a race against starving to death or anything.

(Some weird discussion about temperatures in various countries, using the word "normal" a lot.)

How about all of you start realising the word "normal" simply means "what I am used to"; it does NOT, in any way, shape or form, have anything whatsoever to do with "good", "proper" or "the way it should be".

We don't live in the Middle Ages any more; travelling has become reasonably affordable. So pack a suitcase, buy a ticket to somewhere and go see the world. No, not with a dozen friends, travel alone (or, if you insist, with one buddy). Go somewhere you've never been before. Since you're alone, you'll be forced to talk with the local people. Yes, they will have all kinds of "weird" habits (if they don't, you didn't travel far enough).
Now get your head out of your ass and do not try to explain to them why they are wrong, but try to figure out why, to you, it feels weird. Consider whether maybe what you've been used to your entire life and their way of doing things are equally-valid (bonus points will be awarded if you decide that, heck, their way actually makes way more sense).

The solution to xenophobia is not trying to talk sense into narrow-minded, short-sighted, self-centred people who've never crossed a border, it's to find a way to trick them into becoming friends with people from other countries, cultures, religions, ... whatever, just different people. Think about it, how many people with tons of international friends do you know who vote for political parties with an agenda built on racism?

Anything above 15 degrees is just unbearable.

Athina - 18.5 - AGHHH
Maybe some rain to cool off in the hot months?
June and August get 4 rain days, July gets 2...please, something to drink!

Yerusalem - 17.5 - Not much cooler...
Some rain to cool off?
June to September: No rain.....kill me if I'm in Jerusalem in the fall.

Oslo - 5,7 - Ah, wonderful temperature. 0-5 is great.
Some rain? Yes, on average, 6 days per month (and pretty consistent throughout the year).
