Diplomacy (World)

Unlocks at level 25 or with the Mega Maps Pack

190 territories, 86 bonuses, 1 distribution mode

Description

A map based on the world map variant of Diplomacy. Bonuses are in strategic locations and give you only +1 income for 1 territory. Sea territories consist of the entire blue area, and connect to everything that the blue area touches.

I suggest using a low starting income and have added income per territories held.

Distribution modes may be changed, i'd like feedback on those

The conceptualization is a little different where no territory is worth more than another and there are a number of buffer states with no value. The trick appears to be to obtain clusters of the 1 value areas then move to the next. It also is decidedly long in game play for the number of territories available. Probably not in my top list, but with some uniqueness.

Extraordinary map that gives Warlight a facelift. Thank you. Quite difficult though.

I enjoy how much importance is put into the oceans. While they might not give you any bonuses, they give access to so much land that you would easily lose without them. It feels more realistic. I would however enjoy if there was maybe some kind of continent bonus. Other than that it is great!

I really love this map with the 17 Players FFA. It takes a very long time to play but its wonderful! Thanks for this map :)

I felt it was a rather good map. The oceans meant that the game was still challenging even towards the endgame, since enemies could use them to flank me.

An adequate map for multi-player diplomacy or for a casual game. However, the map can be quite confusing in regards to seas and territories bordering each other, as connections are vague in several spots.

Too difficult. Not fun at all. You are placed in the worst position and get constantly barraged from both sides.

As usual in poorly designed maps, the computer just gangs up on you, disregarding the other computers. Terrible map, skip it and move on to one more interesting and better designed.

Hi Farkeld,
The AI is terrible on this map, they just don't understand it. I'd suggest playing only with players.
