I believe there has to be something more. I can't really define what the "more" is, but there has to be a meaning beyond the scientific explanations. I define myself as a Christian. Do I believe Christianity has everything totally right? No. But I think it's on the right track none the less.
When you are buried, your energy and stuff decomposes into the environment. This could be used to grow a flower, but we do not know if flowers are conscious :(
..... Than Maybe I have a new theory.. Like you said except it doesn't go to the flowers it goes somehow to dogs who breed. Than you can see a person-like personality in your dog!! Yes :D (Just accept this theory)
6852 - soldiers that God killed in Iraq and Afghanistan
Well I think a invasion force with flying death robots should be able to deal with decades old rifles and trucks. If God would be on anyones side in this he/she would most definitely not be on the US's side.
After we die we wake up and then it appears that it was all a dream and you continue living that live and when you die there you wake up and then it appears that it was all a dream and you continue living that live etc
It shouldn't matter if your Hindu or believing in the almighty Lord Cthulhu. Religion has been the focal point for a holocaust, four Crusades, and many other things. Religion originally was meant to bring people together and help form a strong society around it. If you think about it this way, Christianity is the worst thing that happened to mankind. Think of all the different Christ based religions there are. And if you think about it, even the middle east is a "Christ" (The Prophet Mohammed) religion (Just another dude being sacrificed for their sins). And no I'm not anti Jesus or anything, I just find it ridiculous that people need to justify their religion.
Eastern (Primarily Southeast Asia) is completely different. They have temples, not mega churches where their people can pray to their deity. Can't we have that again?
I am unsure if their is a god. I don't actually want to know. Something my father always said, "How do we know which religion is right? For all we know some obscure religion in Africa or New Zealand could be right and when we finally get up there, we're all gonna be suckers one way or another".
