Most people want to play with players who won't boot at the drop of the hat in order to get a win. So please don't tell me that it isn't against the rules.

But you should know that if you play against SO, he will proudly boot you to try to get a win. Go read about it if you care. BL

If you don't, don't. That's all.

Great Idea! How about we all post the people who boot us for no reason here! Instead of making loads of different threads ranting! :D

"If you get booted, you have nobody to blame but yourself." -Fizzer in his twitch conference.

He's not "cheating," your teammate knew the rules when they joined. Maybe instead of complaining here you should inform your teammate of the importance of taking their turn in time.

You can't win if you don't move fast enough (and honestly, 5 minute turns in a real time game is too long as it is). As hockey great Ogie Oglethorpe once said, you always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Hey Queefballs - Perhaps you are stupid. Go back and read my post and then refrain from doing exactly what I asked you not to do. I don't like to play with cheap booters and neither do most people. This is an FYI - not looking for your opinion on the rules - OK?

Death welcome back brother, thought you were gone for good.

Sorry to get a bit fired up over this, I just really don't see the point in Bart complaining about this when Fizzer has put so much emphasis on the fact that it's your own responsibility to not get booted, not the responsibility of other players to not boot you.

To all you fools who can't read: Just be aware that there are many good players who will not boot you the instant they can. Just be aware that so is one of those who will boot you - proudly. That is all this post is about.

Booting is apart of the game. It helps the game move along. Some of us don't have time to wait around for someone who's being selfish and making other players, who are taking their turns in time, wait. I think its rude to hold up a game, obviously life events do happen, but its still not fair to the other players to have to wait.

Well, the issue is that apparently the other guy took max amount of time in previous turns just to stall so he could catch them on a boot?

If so, that is pretty cheap. But, if he's playing fast and you keep taking max time, and eventually go over and get booted...well I don't really have an issue with that. I hate stalling in RT, so I would not blame him.

Anyway, I only play RT with auto boot unless it is people you know/can trust. And then you usually say something when you are going to take longer on a turn and they are cool with it.

Booting may be legal, but depending on the situation it can still be a jerk move.

If someone is repeatedly going far beyond the boot time, or taking outrageously long, booting is understandable.

But booting someone the very first time they go a second over the limit? That's being a total jerk with no sense of sportsmanship at all.

Some of us don't have time to wait around for someone who's being selfish and making other players, who are taking their turns in time, wait. I think its rude to hold up a game, obviously life events do happen, but its still not fair to the other players to have to wait.

If you don't have enough courtesy to wait twenty seconds for someone who had to take a bathroom break or something then it's you who are the selfish one. Don't act like your time is precious, if you're playing Warlight obviously you're in a situation with lots of free time. Warlight isn't a hyper-intensive action game, patience is something you just have to have. What's the fun in a game where you only win because someone else was booted?

As a final note, I'm not saying that booting people is always bad. There's a time and a place for it. But don't be that type of guy who always boots at 0:00 and will never wait for anyone regardless of reasons.

Fizzer did say that it's your fault for getting booted in most cases, however he maintained it's not with the spirit of the game. He said the whole boot thing breaks down like this:

1. If you make a game in which you cannot feasibly make your orders within the boot time due to having to discard a lot of cards or the map being absurdly huge, then it's against the rules.

2. The point of a game is to have a game, not boot people. So if you're booting people in order to try to win, you're not being a good sportsman even though what you did is legal.

3. It's best to try to communicate with the person before they get booted. We have a mail system and chat system. If you're not trying to communicate with them, you're not being a good sportsman even though what you did is legal.

That's what I gathered from the Q&A streams I watched QB. I never heard Fizzer just straight out say that people are always at fault for being booted when he does ban people for #1. I've also heard him advocate #2 and #3.

Don't just use your blacklist for "rulebreakers". Use it for people you generally would not like playing with.

You are respected player!

But you knew what was coming - he had almost 30% of boot rate. Playing with such a high boot-rate players, its always the same. He ain´t first and won´t be last staller here, it is not against the rules. And if it would be, how you prove it - despite it might have been clear enough. For me - I do not understand players over 10% boot rate anyways, even 5% seems rather high to me, if to think someones gets booted every 20th game?

The Forums are worst of worse enough to make another Hate thread against a rookie. Just let him play his games, he probably won´t stick around anyway. Most of us do not need lessons over poor-state of things in Open-Room Games. I get how you feel over it, but just understand the state of things.

@Platinum
For a Well-known Spammer you should already know, that Threads get inactive over time and you can´t post into them. But if you insist and still yearn for a another pointless List, then please, don´t forget to make a thread for Spammers and name yourself 1th there as well! Or just go over the rules of Warlight - Nothing states that Booting requires reason - if you can´t believe then go make a report and see yourself. Or is the Direct boot and Auto boot such a complex idea to fathom. Manners are part of game, but rules come first, and players are well protected against senseless booting by Time limit.

I agree with what you say. But that is not the case here. It was actually "so" who dragged the game on with late start, late commits and refusing to surrender when clearly beaten.

Then, in these circumstances, he tries to go for a last ditch win by booting, no warning, no discussion. Despicable behavior in my opinion. I just want everyone to know.

Spam to me is Unwanted crap which has no value whatsoever.

So according to other peoples comments.. I am not a spammer.

I have been kindly given compliments for my threads which I am thankful to the people for.

So you calling me a spammer has no point whatsoever.

But let other people judge what I am.. and whatever the comment is wins.

Angry little boy ;)
