So, will season 3 be next year, or in the spring or what?

Season 3 will begin soon after the last group from season 2 finishes. I think it'll be a couple of weeks from now, but it can be hard to predict how long it takes for games to finish. Probably mid-November.

Just keep an eye out for your tournament invitations and the season 3 thread. Settings will be the same as for season 2.

The last 3 games in E1 are unfortunatly going to take a while, they are very close (almost stalemates) and will determine who gets promoted/relegated so they are also important games and can't be skipped...!

Only one game is left in group A, but the only question remaining is who will be 3rd and who will be 4th (USA Biches or mslasm). huddyj is 1st, TWOLKER is 2nd, Lampião is 5th, slydog384, kirdol and Buns157 relegate, Philip B' is out of the league.

Group A is finally finished, with TWOLKER quickly wrapping up his last game after a week or two of vacation. Tight finish on top, but I've pulled off the group win with the tie-break win over TWOLKER. Yay! :) Here's the final standings for the league's top division, along with the relegations (no promotions in Group A).

Edit: If our league starts to hold up the next season I am happy to declare myself as just staying in the league just to break the dead-lock and draw it to a conclusion. Actually, I'm not sure that would even help... The complexity of this stalemate is surprisingly extreme...! As such I'm happy to be demoted too if it comes to it, whatever makes things easier :)

Is there superpromotion? Otherwise all promotions will be decided if Insane wins just one of his last two games. (Arkanton, Insane and Kent). If fleece and Wenyun both wins, we get the a 3 way draw for the two promotion spots, but is Fleecemaster says it is fine with him staying, and that is what we do in case of a tier, then promotions are decided in any case. So maybe it is time to start preparations for next season? Any plan on when it will start? And I am happy to help out by making tourneys again :)

Top Player in Group E1 gets a double promotion, so I need iNsAnE to finish both his remaining matches in order to know how it will end up. If he wins both, he double-promotes. If he wins 1, he promotes. If he loses both, it's technically a tie with Fleecemaster and Kent, but based on who they've each beaten, I think he'll be promoting anyway, as there's no time for a tie-break tournament.

Otherwise, or in the future, average play speed can be used as a tiebreaker, when it is not possible to have a tiebreaker tourney. I think I have seen that discussed in other leagues. But probably more fair for next time, so that people kinda have a chance to act on it (hopefully noone is intentionally stalling, but still I feel like people should know in advance for some reason).

Turn speed isn't fair in my opinion, as some players are not able to be online as often as others, so will naturally take longer on average to complete their turns.

I look at the players each has beaten, and total up the combined wins and losses of those players. In this case, if it ends in a tie between iNsAnE, Fleecemaster, and Kent, here is the final standings as I've worked them out.

Placements in a round-robin are determined by number of wins. In the event of a tie, placements are determined by head-to-head results among the tied. Occasionally, there are loops of ties that cannot be resolved by the head-to-head rule. If this is the case, ties will be broken by the following (in order of preference):

#1: Overall win/loss ratio. (The total wins of each player you defeated minus the total wins of each player you lost against)
#2: Tie-break tournament. (Unless such a tournament would cause lengthy delays for the league)
#3: Average turn-speed (only if a tie-break tournament fails to resolve the tie, or would take to long to complete)
