For a barrier it could have been 15 dollars for non members and 5-10 dollars for members.

i think that there are many great ideas floating around but i would like to point out one of the lines that fizzer said in his post "If WarLight were to add a way for clans to declare war on each other, how would you like this to work?" that's why i suggested my idea now i am not saying that he can't use all the ideas here but could we consider that?

Two Systems, which can be ran in parallel.
Wars: 1) Clan Officials from Clan A propose a War. 2) Clan Officials from Clan B must accept a War. 3) Wars can either be single players or teams 4) Clan B then proposes a template, Clan A Approves the Temmplate. 5) A Quasi-Tournament is set up, and clan mates join teams. 6) WarLight creates the games, and at the conclusion of the games, gives a winner. 7) The clan gets a win/loss record that sticks with the clan. 8) Bragging rights. 9) But right now, there's nothing more to the clan system than just a thread and a tag. But i f you put restrictions on the clan (Cap the number) or add features that are unlocked for clan wins. (Open another brainstrom thread for clan features :)
Ladder: Have another ladder running (Or just the current ladder system) And skim off the points from wins/losses according to people's clan affiliation.
Could get tricky with 2v2 ladder and non-clan teams, and FFA type ladder games.

What about something like Levels and Clan Ladder?
Every time, 2 (or more) Clan members fighting each other... 1vs1, ffa or in different Teams the winner clan get some Points...
so there can be stats which Clans working together or be big enemies. some things like which clan dominates clan x mostly etc.
So "Clan-Wars" can going within the normal gameplay automaticly.

A clan war with a tournament system modified. For example, 4 teams of 3 players on each clan.
Round 1: 4 3vs3 matches (obviously clanA vs clanB each match) The 4 winners go to round 2. a) If there are 2 teams from each clan --> same as before with less matches b) If a clan win all the battles --> Tournament ends --> winner c)If there are 3 (clanA) and 1 (clanB) teams then clan B fight the rival teams 1 at a time, if he loses his clan loses, if he wins he has to fight another one till there is no more rivals.
It's posible with more matches at the beggining, if we have 8 and have 3 clanA and 5 clanB wins, in round 2 there are 3 battles (and clanB has 2 teams waiting going directly to round 3). So the clan who gets more wins in early rounds has the advantadge :)
Random matches better.
It is posible use this system with more than 2 clans but it's a bit more complicated :P
P.S: Sorry for my english :) I hope you can understand :P

So many options:
2 clan ideas:
You've got the [P] vs. {Warlighter} style (also used in Relite vs [WM]) which involves the clans playing different settings in 1v1 and team games against the other clan, and whichever clan wins the most games wins the clan war. Very basic style and is very good :)
Knockout format: {101st} vs {Warlighter} uses this, good system for clans with people who do not want a large commitment. Downside: it takes a long time
2+ Clan ideas:
Clan League: Clans compete in different tournaments other clans (could be a cool system to involve an ELO rating system in here, each clan gets 4 1v1 players, 2 2v2 teams, and 1 3v3 team playing in a ladder like format. If one player of a clan drops out, another one takes their place. Have each player/team play 2 games at a time. Count each game as only one game (I realize team games are worth less than 1v1 doing this, but if team games are worth a lot, it becomes too easy for someone to puppet a 2v2 and 3v3 team, as well as playing 1v1. One great player could make an average clan a good one in terms of rating, which should not happen. One player should not make the clan.)
Single Elimination Tournament Style: I've done one of these so far, was gonna do a second one but had a couple clans not interested, and I ended up getting busy and deleting the tournament. Basically, it's a single elimination 32 person tournament where each clan gets 4 representatives and the clan gets a point each time a player in their clan wins. The first one included the best clans at the time, Apex ended up taking first with AHOL in a tight second. They are fun and easy and low commitment.
There are many others that you can do, perhaps add an FFA to the clan league idea but only with anonymous players, so that clans can not gain up on the clan that is #1 in the ladder. I see many good, new ideas on this thread. I only put ones that have been used before and have been proven successful. Really, the sky is the limit on clan war ideas :)
