check some of my maps (my profile links them) i drew all them with the pen tool, you can make any curve you want, and it wont have that jittery look up close like when you use the pencil tool. most of my maps dont go anywhere near 2k

If i use the pen under the pencil, it draws most time lines and sometimes it draws hardly controlable curves. And the other pen draws 2 lines at once next together.
Is there a other pen next to these 2? Or is it possible to change their drawstyle with any option?
Belgian i already tryed a optimizer and it changed nearly nothing.
Could it be, that there is a way to draw territorys like on a paper? I would first draw the whole continent outline only, and then i could draw the territorys on this big object.

Simple select object then Ctrl L as much as you can afford for each object. I'm working on a 3200 territory map, and I am managing under 2.0 megabytes.

I tryed it but anyhow it happened nothing. This explaination sucks very hard by the way. Bad names, terms and bad pictures. Furthermore they let it looks like as a side thing for anything that ppl make their first big map will make it wrong and can put it into the rycle bin. Great way to harass people. It is treated as esoteric knowledge, because it is.
Read what i have written before Alexander, i already did that and its far away to be enough.

something must be wrong in my opinion - even witout reducing the number of nodes (ctrl-L) this map should not have been 5mb in size... how did you paint all taht lines - was there a real map in the bottom (in the form of bitmap?) - maybe it is still there hidden behind background or moved to layer which was set not to be visible?

@Belgian Gentleman - your program is a miracle!!! It decreased size of my Polandball map from 2 to 1.2 mb's using "conservative" option only!!!! Now I can pack this map with even more unnescessary graphic stuf!!!

1. Use straight lines if possible. 2. All your territories have space between them. Are you drawing them one by one separately? Isn't it much easier to draw the continent first and then cut it into different pieces? 3. Sometimes using the "simplify" button in the Path menu (Pfad in german)is possible. Though sometimes it makes the borders too simplified and ugly.

No there is no picture in the file and i already added pictures into Inskape and its pretty small all the time.
I already explained that the explainations how to draw the territorys are shit like hell, so i couldnt know it. Im sure the makers of editors dont really want you making a own good map.

Rather than dismissing everyone, saying they are rubbish and unhelpful or exclaiming that they don't make any sense, perhaps you should actually listen to what we are recommending. You know, you aren't the master at everything. There is no reason that 'makers of editors' would want you to not be able to make a good map. There is no economic or social benefit to having better maps than everyone else. Also, your comments don't make any sense- what is 'No there is no picture in the file and i already added pictures into Inskape and its pretty small all the time' meant to mean? You literally contradicted yourself and everyone else by that one sentence.

I'm pretty sure this guy must be a troll; According to him, he's doing absolutely everything as right as you possibly can, and It's just that The Makers of warlight and inkscape are conspiring against him since they don't want him to be able to make a good map.
