Boston learned a lot from his temp suspension: 2/2/2016 18:32:46

Was about to join realtime ladder, noticed boston was on so decided against it.

Checked one of his recent finished games, and it's clear his attitude has significantly improved since the suspension. It's almost as if he is a whole new person, much more tolerant to the possibility of losing a game and the twists that luck brings to his games:

Boston's a super classy dude. He hasn't called me a lousy player since the last time I beat him.

Also this should stay here since most of the WL community would love to see his progress.

lol People are still getting upset over Boston's insults? He does it to everyone he plays against, whether he loses or he wins. I find it quite funny

Let me explain you this clearly: it is not part of the general forum, like lolicon, sirsalty's threads about their suspension, this also should be in the off topic forum, that's all. Complaining or talking about one random player is off topic not general.

He doesn't do it to everyone. There's a small number of people he can quietly lose to. He also isn't a dick when he wins. Never had him randomly rip into me and tell me how bad I am when he's won, only when I beat him, which I find particularly funny since I beat him close to 70% of the time I play him.

"Off-topic Discussion not directly related to WarLight"

This is definitely directly related to Warlight.

Lolicon and Sirsalty also play WL, so lets move their threads from off topic to general then.

This: https://www.warlight.net/Forum/134145-boston-learned-lot-temp-suspension
and these:

are the same.

Both of them are on warlight for the forums. Boston actually plays. A picking strategy is named after him. He's a legend. Don't compare him with off topic forumers just because he had a ban please.

Don't be stubborn, all of them are players (and their first motivation to join WL was to play it, unless you know them better than themselves), and furthermore dealing with the same very topic: about a player and his suspension, that's all.

So calm down, I do not see anything wrong about one thread like this one being part of the Off Topic forum.

Shame on you. Someone posts a genuinely beautiful thread for once and all you can think to do is derail it within argument over where to place it ??

Bask in the simple beauty of this topic! Take heart in it and celebrate! Such quality threads are a rarity these days.

What I only see here is arrogance at its best and pride from you. All I was pointing out is that this thread was in the wrong place that's all. And you started arguing about it for no real reason. Again calm down and swallow your "elitist" pride.
Sirsalty and Lolicon are good players, unfortunately you do not know them, because you never played any diplomacy games, or very rarely I suppose. Boston may be a nice player (never met him), but that is not a reason to not respect other people playing and participating here.

Yeah, they do play. I'm currently facing lolicon on the 1v1 ladder. Salty's on knyte's league. They both play competitive to some extent.

That is the main problem why any decent strategical player would never even look into the Warlight game if he would see the Forum beforehand! I have recommended earlier multiple times to delete the Forum once and for all for the sake of survival of Warlight, thus far it has only showed Warlight in bad light!

This is really interesting to see high-ranked players regarding this as "Related to Warlight"! I often doubt in Average Warlight players ability to read and think functionally. Each day it amazes me how Off-Topic the majority of General Section actually can get. Despite even reporting the most off-topic threads mods show now intention to better it. So I guess Lolicon´ army is the only sensible group here, because they show what the community and forum actually is here and deserves!

@Angry Koala
- I hear and agree what you say. But moderation lacks ambition to do something, and our active Forum-base is not exactly intellectually fit to make the basic difference of Directly related or indirectly related. According to average Warlight-everyday-poster Cosmos is part of General Topic due to earth being located there, whereof warlight came to existence. Or Lolicons is as much Warlight-related for just sharing same space in Internet! I believe Hegel would have committed suicide in 21th century.

A Players competitiveness does not make him Related-to-Warlight and exclude others or some petty little instance, that has nothing to offer as discussion? I wonder whether this thread gets deleted/moved?

- The most idiotic new trend is Tournament, Real-Time and Multi-Day commercialism! If you cant fill your match or find players one turns it into a spamming fest? And I always enjoined the resign/quit threads. Where player X whom no-one knows, cares, has never heard off announces his resignation of warlight like some stepping down from high-authority position.
