France is not relevant either, but Spain is even more irrelevant. It is a country that will disappear in the near future. Thanks Francisco Franco for this.

Cata I don't think you realise how strong the Catalan secessionist movement is. Putting beside my joke-blind-faith-type-thing, Catalonia would easily win a referendum. Even if Scotland had only Scots vote in the referendum, it'd be barely over 50%. Catalonia could clear 70%+.

Some provinces like Gipuzkoa and big cities such as San Sebastian/Donosti are led by Bildu a pro independence party. The rest are with PNV: Basque Nationalist Party, not independentist but nationalist, conventional Spanish parties such as PSOE or PP have almost no votes in Euskadi.

I support Basque independence over Scottish and Catalonian because Athletic Bilbao means they would have an OP football team.

Even Navarre, the most conservative and pro Spanish Region (they never wanted as for now to join the Basque Community of Euskadi) has finally fallen to the Basque parties during the 2015 elections, the region and the capital (Pamplona) are now led by the Abertzales (Basquist politicians).

Yes, but Barcelona imports players - Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Rakitic, Bravo, etc. Bilbao only recruits Basques, meaning they could all play for the Basque national team.

yes general, and we do have a national team, Euskal Selekzioa: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basque_Country_national_football_team

The Basque team used to have Xabi Alonso, Bixente Lizarazu and even Didier Deschamps, all of them are World Champions sadly with the Colonial Powers of France and Spain :(
