the country composing navarre cantabria and rioja is whats left os spain along with madrid and extremadura, if you want i could put that region as part of basque country, idk how to do a collaborative work but i would be more than happy to do it, it would take some of the work load of me :), just tell mw how to do it, the hardest part will probably be naming the territories and making and naming the bonuses as i dont think the divisions are political divisions

well actually i tried once to do a collaborative work with someone making a GOT map but it was a time when I went inactive, and himself wasn't very active either.

We just need a platform where we can share the svg files of this map, i will create a mail chat to discuss how that could work.

As for the first map, I've seen it before, and the base map with the countries colored in has some inaccuracies, i. e. the border of Belarus and Russia, and Bulgaria and Serbia. Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I recommend going with the map Koala posted, and finding a way to overlay a map with borders on it.

Spanish regions are just fine. Basque independentists like koala would like all world map to be with the colour of his region xd but the truth is they are a very small community with small independentist movement and phew extension that could be even smaller than the actual basque region.

crs8 el Neofranquista, please stay relevant to the topic, this map is about European independence movements, so we have to show places where there are indeed some independence movements, and neglecting their existence is plain stupid.

And tell me more precisely how it could be smaller than the actual Basque country? Even Navarre region that used to be more pro-Spanish is currently led by a coalition of Abertzale (pro-Basque) parties, the capital of Navarre, Pamplona since last year is also led by Joseba Asiron, a mayor part of EH Bildu, a pro-independence party even more radical than PNV (Basque National party) and Geroa Bai (Navarrese equivalent), 2 parties that are only in favor of a greater autonomy.

To be frank, this map is pretty wrong.

Doesn't show actually independent countries like Abkhazia or Ossetia or Artsakh, but shows Kaliningrad independence movement (hardly any)?

I'm not sure about England either, the main independence movement is of Northumbria, not... whatever that red thing is.

the first map is definately not representing the independence movements in europe,a few territories are comprising land mass from a few countries, which is simply not true, however if it is..its very falsely depicts, tho the second link by Angry Koala, represents it very precisely

First of all hi everyone!
Secondly as a Swiss guy living in the italian part of Switzerland I can assure you that the indipendence mouvment represented for my country are compleately wrong in the wikipedia page and on your first map as well. Probabely at the moment Switzerland is one of the most united nation in Europe, and at the moment there are no indedist mouvement at all (if you find one, is very probably a joke of some funny guys).
Nevertheless the map looks very interesting, hope you'll complete it soon!
(sorry for the not perfect english)

by the way, the german page looks way more reliable than the english one

What did you mean by clear things up?

Insubria is the geographical region around Lake of Lugano comprending the Swiss canton of Ticino and the Italian provinces of Varese, Como, Cusio-Verbano-Ossola, but the fact this region is splitted between the two coutries, it doesn't implies that there are independence mouvement. There some there collaboration between the political subdivision mentioned before, but certainly no separatist ideas- Groups like Domà Nuch are nothing more than jokes, people that loves to immaginate the unreal, but I think that quite nobody knows or cares about them.

Clearing things up means to solve or to explain a problem.

I have few knowledge about the region but I think the region wants to gain greater autonomy. I can't say very much about it but maybe (I think) that there are also some people who want to have independence? The creation of Movimento degli Indipendenti Insubrici maybe?

Hey, first of all, you might want to change "independentist movements" to "nacionalist movements", as many of those just want recognition for their "nation".

Also, as the Spanish I am, I know there are many nationalist movements inside (many are just regionalist, but we will pass them anyway). However, they don't really meet with your first uploaded map, that one is really imprecise and... well, weird. I consider this one (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/23/Active_separatist_movements_in_Europe.png) to be the most realistic of all.
