I doubt the Oil level can be completed in less than 15 turns. I completed it 3 times since the update, but on all these attempts, the last commander was hiding in Tashkent, 15 turns away from the start.
As for Caesar's Challenge, luck is a big factor. Getting rid of the german AI and taking every territory away from the italian AI is easy, but the rest of the level really depends on where the boss moves: -> if he goes your way, things become really complicated. Having Gallia broken makes it difficult to handle the parthian AI. -> if he goes towards neutral territories like Africa and after some time comes toward you, then you can still win the game, but you should forget about beating 27 turns. -> if he goes towards the parthian AI and breaks the Parthian Empire, perhaps 27 turns can be beaten... but he cannot go too deep into Partha, otherwise the spawns will appear too late... and the parthian commander* cannot stay hidden too deep inside Partha, otherwise 27 turns is not mathematically possible...

rakleader,
The Oil level took me 15 turns, for precisely the reason you mention.
Your analysis of Caesar's Challenge makes sense to me, although I've only played it once so I can't say more than that. Thanks for the insights!

Well that failed miserably. The now stronger boss (despite Fizzer implying he'd start weaker) made a beeline for London. Treated him the same as 2320 boss but he was just too strong elsewhere. Their income was a combined 140 to my 45 by the time I called it.
Disappointed that the format was changed to remove the games played counter. Was interesting seeing how many attempts and victories from both the community and yourself.

The old levels can be found here, https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer/AllBuiltInThere you also have the counter thing. Dunno if it interacts with the new official levels in any way.

Interesting! And it does appear to save the new results there, as well.

Thanks for the help, I finally beat it! Master Jz's strategy is spot on, I pretty much had to sneak an army into Partha's base and assassinate the commander in order to win. Partha is simply too strong to fight in a troop vs troop war.

I'm having a really hard time trying to contain the boss, while expanding to increase my armies per turn, and by the time I make any sort of progress I am instantly over-run by the farthest AI who has 150-250 armies per turn by turn 15 or so. Really frustrating. xD

AI bosses are easily countered by stocking 1-2 troop in each territory they border and attacking in at the end of the turn. They seem to love slapping at you with 1s and you can pick up the place they hop from with the main stack, effectively keeping them in a 1 territory bubble. The win is quite easy if you're used to RoR--break up superbonuses, expand your own stuff, own everything before methodically wiping out the boss. May not get you that pretty speed star, but it is an easy walk-in win.
Only level that seems really tricky to me is the final one. The randomness on who gets first strikes/RNG spawning the enemy inside me seems to be the biggest issue there. If there's a strat beyond quickly hunting down the enemy champions in Norway/Brazil area while expanding, I'd be happy to hear it. Maybe better to leave them divided and just try to screw with them? I dunno.

I have like 40 failed attempts. n_n I waste so much of my armies on trying to contain the boss all over France and Germany. It gets to a point where I can't expand and I always lose by turn 16-18 because the farthest AI overruns me instantly. Augh.

I had trouble on my first 5 attempts on the map, spreading myself too thin I think. The strat I found that worked was to hit everything hard, grab France, Germany, Italy and Spain as early as poss and expand towards Parthia. The AI in Italy is tricky, but once you've got all his bonuses you can contain him indefinitely. The Parthia AI on the other hand is the tough guy. I pushed through him at a couple of places (taking him head-on is pointless, he has more bonuses at this point), built up behind his large armies to take his minimally defended areas and break his bonuses while trying to recapture as much as my own territory as possible to limit him. Eventually I got to the commander, wiped him out, seized all the ground and then just spent a further 10 goes hitting the cloning boss in the head until he finally died.

i tried about 20 times to capture his bonusses and kill his boss - i failed all the time... can anybody give me some advice? i tried to capture france, germany, spain and italy as fast as possible and then go to southeast to destroy his bonusses, but the AI there was becoming to strong to fast, so as soon as i reached his boss, i wasn't able to kill him...

Having problems with this level. I have tried all the suggestions but still can not get anywhere on this map. The farthest AI is simply too strong to fight once I have fought past the clone. He continually takes my territories from behind while I'm getting obliterated on my front lines. I saw mention that the clone started at a strength of 80 but mine shows 100. By turn 13 the farthest AI is getting over 100 armies per turn while I can barely manage to keep 30 - 35 per turn. Very very unbalanced. Has something changed on this board to make it this hard?

He only takes your territories with his main stack and 1-2 troops once you've killed his big territories, so... let him. Dont fight it, let it happen. The whole "be strong where the enemy is weak, weak where they're strong" thing. Put 2-3 on every territory surrounding the boss and attack it at the end and you will keep him contained to one territory while you rip apart everything else.
Washing across the random non-boss AI is pretty easy, especially on a map founded on superbonuses (the AI is stupid about them) and super-superbonuses(as before). If you've not got much experience with RoR, maybe play a multiplayer game or two there, to get a feeling for it. It is very distinct. Partha v Spain with Mace/Illy as the gatekeepers and UK v Germany. Africa is wildly powerful, but by the time anyone takes it, the game is generally over. Italy and France are squishy and the boss will likely pop a squat somewhere in that area.
Attack everywhere with something, and only direct your big stacks to break superbonuses. Quantity>Quality against AI. Spain/UK gives a pretty fantastic troop income and pretty quick access to Parthian. Once Parthian is shot and Illy is broken up, it's easy mode. Don't even fight the boss with more than 1-3 stacks until everyone else is dead.
Not the fastest strat, but it wins just about every time in about 40 rounds.

Figures right after I post that I was having issues I beat the level!!! Seems the whole trick was not advancing my commander. I took out the closest top AI and left my commander hovering over there while marching my armies around. Once my commander was no longer on the front lines the clone commander no longer chased me around the board. From there it was just a matter of patience. I of course took the France and Spain quickly and headed for Italy as well to break his bonuses. i was able to break through to the Parthian commander across the very bottom and the top to sandwich him while just holding him at bay and reclaiming territories in the center until I eliminated him. Glad I finally beat this one.
