Hehe, it looks like SNinja is now safe from relegation. B-)

By the way, did 101st (or Outlaws?) decide on who will replace Jinxed?

I haven't heard an official announcement on who is going to replace him in those games but from what I've heard from platinum just before i was doing one of our livestreams he said that he wanted to put Bonsai on 1 of the tournaments and Benoit on the other of the tournaments. He didn't specify who would be playing which tournament at that moment though.

101st and Outlaws agreed on a deal where we put in one replacement player from each clan to be fair on a disputed spot for CL9.

Outlaws have decided to put Bonsai in Battle Island and 101st nominated Kantos for Guiroma.

Game will be created and posted onto the forums to remain official and fair. Hopefully, These will be made this weekend.

If you have any questions or If you are a player directly involved that wants to ask something mail me.

To be fair I don't agree with being able to put Kantos in to play for 101st since he wasn't in the clan at the start of the season for as far as I can remember. He basically went from Lynx to 101st to be eligable to play those games since he isn't participating for Lynx in the end.

I'd like to know what the others think about it as well but this is just how I'm looking at it.

Yeah, it seems like that after the 101st breakup they are putting a couple more alts into the 101st clan to make it seem competitive. Pretty sure that also a bunch of other 101st members like Unreality have been in Lynx previously. I don't care to much about this season Kantos playing for the 101st clan however with the new 101st clan now being even more something like a B tier division of the Lynx clan I don't like both 101st + Lynx playing in the clan league for the comming seasons. I had to perform some sort of selection when making our M'Hunters lineup and I couldn't just make everyone happy by creating a B tier M'Hunters lineup. Not to mention that our B tier M'Hunters players might have dropped some games if the A tier needed the points.

So tl; dr: If the 101st clan doesn't show up with "true" 101st members like Blowfly or Grickface they shouldn't perform in the clan league at all.

To be honest, it's odd to have players not available at the start of the season ._.

To be fair Lynx players were also available to us at the beginning of the season under the previous Lynx/101st system. I doubt anyone could have complained about it at the time, but Plat decided to keep the roster made up by our own players, I know that others in his place wouldnt have hesitated to take out our own players for a more competitive lineup.

Now this happening isnt really our fault, the original players are all Outlaws atm and so is the leader of the lineup. I believe Platinum should have decided both replacements, but to avoid problems we settled in one replacement each. I'm glad that the 101st replacement is at the level of the playing field, but I believe that we could have choosed 2 Outlaws and be as fine.

Anyways, I agree with Norman here. If 101st wants the CL spot, I hope they're not expecting to take it with Lynx players.

Wakanari is correct; Kantos was not in 101st at the start of the clan league. I was not under the impression this was against the rules (don't think there were any rules in regards to this). If it is, 101st will field an alternative replacement. I was in 101st with an alt at the start of the clan league, have been in 101st on my main account for a couple weeks during the Clan League, and did not play for any other clan. Therefore, I could replace Kantos if him not being in 101st at the start is an issue.

The way I see it, if player wishes to represent a clan, and that player is not representing any other clan that season, then it should be legal. Perhaps a bigger issue is someone currently not in 101st is filling in a spot for 101st?

Is players switching between 101st and Lynx an issue? Players switch clans all the time. Almosttricky was a WG member, yet played for Sninja this season. There are at least half a dozen similar cases. Without formal rules on this subject, it is tough to decide what is legal, and what is not. Given a set of formal rules, Lynx and 101st will make sure that we are competing legally, as we have done in the past.

To be fair Lynx players were also available to us at the beginning of the season under the previous Lynx/101st system.

Care to name some?

The original players are not all Outlaws at the moment

This is not true. Six players currently are Outlaws. One has left Outlaws. One is in 101st. One is in Masters. So yes, a majority of last season's lineup are Outlaws, but not all of them by any means.

I've said from the beginning that if 101st is close to, or above Outlaws' level, then I will push for 101st to get the spot as I believe that to be fair in that situation. However, if I don't believe 101st is close to Outlaws' level, I will push for Outlaws to get the spot rather than 101st as I believe it is fair in this situation. Both sides have claims to the spot currently. I believe it is still best to wait and see what happens to 101st over the next few months before deciding who gets the spot now. Especially as we don't even know if the spot will be available in A or B.

Just to put it out there, here are some claims for both sides:

Outlaws: A majority of 101st's Clan League team is currently in Outlaws. The 101st lineup was made by someone currently in Outlaws. Outlaws is more likely to be able to compete at a high level than 101st.

101st: There is no reason for the spot to change hands. The Outlaws chose to leave 101st, knowing full well that this would cost them the clan league spot. They were not kicked out of 101st (as is the case of XS/ONE). Neither has 101st died at this point (as is the case of CPU/BIA). The only precedent for this situation was when Lynx left 101st, and 101st kept the clan league spot (even with 101st saying Lynx should have the spot). So the past is on 101st's side on this issue.

We weren't actually kicked out of XS, for the record. We left on our own.

But in any case, let's not hash this out on the forum right now. A decision will be made in due time regarding who gets this spot.
