No tournament has completed yet, but the points in these standings were computed based on the games won so far:

Apologies if I made any mistakes.

Tournaments 4-6 will be created in about 1 month's time, about August 17th.

At this time, any new participants will be waitlisted. Players who are already participating in the league will have first shot at joining tournaments 4-6. If the tournaments don't fill promptly, then I will invite players from the waitlist. Any waitlisted player who joins a tournament is no longer considered waitlisted, they are a normal player and will be invited as such.

Inactive players who have not joined any tournament will be purged.

What about WSOW Season 2? Well that is proceeding at a glacial pace. Timinator won a 27 turn marathon against Dom365, and now plays timon92 in the losers bracket final of tournament 10A. If Timinator beats timon92, then he will win season 2 without a need for playoffs. However, if timon92 wins, then there is a sliver of a chance that he could overtake Timinator in the playoff rounds. No one else has a chance of winning.

If it does go to playoffs, then PJ017 will get the playoff spot over me, due to my decision to use season 3's tiebreaker: the best tournament result (his 1st place to my 2nd place).

I'm about to start the 4th tournament in the series, Battle Islands V 0% SR with Recon cards. Invites will go out in the following order:

Tonight, Aug 18 - players who joined 0 tournaments
Sunday night, Aug 21 - players who joined 1 tournaments
Wednesday night, Aug 24 - players who joined 2 tournaments
Saturday night, Aug 27* - players who joined 3 tournaments
Tuesday night, Aug 30* - waitlisted players

* I am attending a music festival the weekend of the 27th and 28th and may not be able to send out invites due to being dead on my feet. So invites may be delayed a couple days.

The 5th tournament (Guiroma 0% SR) will be created immediately after the 4th tournament begins

The 6th tournament (Snow Mountains Multi-attack) will be created immediately after the 5th tournament begins

The 7th tournament will be created 3 months after tournament #6 begins, likely sometime in november or december.

I have invited the full field to tournament 4 now. If the tourney doesn't fill by this Wednesday August 31, I will begin inviting from the waitlist (whose size is only 1 right now lol) and make a call for new players to the league.

Meanwhile, I have updated the Season 3 standings. Recent wins from MoD puts him into first with a sizable lead.

The 4th tournament has finally started! This means the 5th tournament on Guiroma will be made shortly, and staggered invites sent out every 3 days:

Sept 1 - those who joined 0 or 1 tournaments - consolidated because most these players are probably inactive
Sept 4 - those who joined 2 tournaments
Sept 7 - those who joined 3 tournaments
Sept 10 - those who joined 4 tournaments
Sept 13 - waitlisted players

okay you are added to the waitlist.

please note however, the more the waitlist fills, the less likely it is you'll be able to participate. i only invite from the waitlist if/when current participants don't join a tournament (this could easily happen with tourney #6, snow mountains multi-attack). also note that top 6 tournaments count in the standings, but 4 out of 9 tournaments have already filled and started, so your chances of being able to compete with top players reduce considerably.

the silver lining is that you'll be one of the first players considered for season 4, which should happen sometime in 2017.

Big news for World Series of Warlight. First the season 3 updates. Tournament #5 has started, and Tournament #6 has been created: Snow Mountains Multi-Attack. After this tournament begins, there will be no tournaments made until probably 2017 (so we can pass the busy holiday season).

And now season 2 updates, finally! Tournament 10A finally ended with Jefferspin winning. But the big news is that timon92 beat Timinator, which means timon92 still has a chance to win despite Timi's big lead. (no one else has a chance to win since only 2000 points are available in the final round)

According to Ineffable's rules (and his procedure for season 1), inactive players are replaced by active players, which is why Jefferspin and I are involved in the final round. The rest of the final round rules are as follows:

Tournament #11 will be the masters and it will be open only to the top 8 players and will go like so:

RR B:players ranked 2 4 5 7

Yes. Season 3 was started before Season 2 ended because I knew how badly it was being delayed.

Season 3 update:

Tournament #6 after much hemming and hawing has started! Invites for tournament 7 will be made in January 2017, some time after New Years day when I expect people to return from vacations and the like.

The waitlist is now cleared. If a tournament does not fill in 2017, I will make a thread on the general forum and start a new waitlist.

The google sheet has been updated with updated standings. No tournament has finished yet, but one of them is in the second final game so we will soon be able to announce a tournament winner.

Timinator needed at least 600 pts in order to clinch a season 2 win, and it looks like he is going to fail to do that! For Timi to have a chance at getting points from the single elimination stage, he needs to win his final game against ACL Tears and ACL Tears needs to lose to PJ017 and PJ017 needs to beat Jefferspin to force a 3 way tie for 2nd place (which I'll probably just break with ratios of fizzer's metric since i'm sick of this season going on for so long). The current game, ACL Tears vs. PJ017, is in turn 7. After that, Timi plays ACL Tears and PJ017 plays Jefferspin.
