The fine line between a serious and a troll thread; my favorite kind. Amazing read, Juq.

I honestly feel 6-7 is roughly where most educated people land without attempting to be intentionally verbose. Knyte I think tends to intentionally act showy so as to be condescending, I usually don't, not do myhandisonfire or teamguns, all of whom rank around the 6-7 mark. Or at least I assume I rank around 6-7; I only checked the one post I made.

This post for example was 9.8, so I figure the sample size will determine whether some people score high or low, as their posts will vary widely.

EDIT: Seems some tools try to account for this, and require at least 100 words be entered in for it to even determine a result because it knows anything smaller is too small of a sample size.

Most of my texts seem to have quite high scores actually. So is this the reason why everyone who doesn't agree with me is a retard?

Smedley, he doesn't like big words that much, either, and most of what he says comes in sentences made for a kind of shockvalue, f.e. taxation is theft, which are short, but have somewhat big words, or just in quite basic words explaining things in sentences ranging from medium to long.

Pretty sure folk have been saying this since at least 1982, and probably longer than that in some form or another. I mean, ask Zhuang Zhou that, he'll probably say that we're all in a dream, but he'll end up agreeing at some point.

That's a problem I didn't want to deal with though, but it is pretty big determiner - in what mood are folk speaking in? passionately? angrily? irkedly? semitrollingly? It changes the scores very much, but I did try to get at least 3 good paragraphes out of all these folk though. More than 100 words were analysed for everyone.

I have a suggestion: Perform the analysis on a per-comment basis. Select say 10-20 comments 'randomly' (doesn't have to be perfect, but just try not to pick them with a bias for long or short posts) for each person, measure the score for each post, and average the score for each poster's posts. This will give you a more-standardized 'score per post' rating for each poster. It will certainly take a bit more work to perform, but it will give a better 'big picture' look at things.

Well, how I did this was actually to have a bias for full paragraph comments for everyone; almost everyone on this list has typed some at a point. Also, 10-20 comments? That's certiainly too much work for me :) If I would do something like that, I'd just take all the forumposts from the frontleaf, see who has 100+ words written, and then analyse that. Or perhaps, looking back, I should put what mood the fellow was speaking in in most their posts I analysed; I think Angry Koala had a trend to drop fullstops more when he was angry (and all his posts I analysed was from keyboard warring - and the same thread I used the full source for GeneralPE and TeamGuns, also arguing almost the whole time).

It's a like test, but I think that test you linked is more for understanding when folk speak, not when they write.
