It was mentioned that a panel was discussing issues regarding template changes, and the link to follow these was given as https://goo.gl/uwv6js

Now the link takes us to a different Google sheet. On that sheet there's the "Todo" tab. None of what's written there is related with changes in templates.

My question: Is the panel done with the template changes? It's possible that I missed the latest update.

The google sheet has been repurposed i think for other things related to the MDL instead of keeping it as the reasons why those specific template were voted out of the MDL but in the linked thread you can find the template links that were voted out of the MDL by the panel of 8 different players afaik

Yeah they are done with the changes afaik. The template Voting sheet was hidden, but I've made it visible again.

Pardon will not be able to do the weekly updates anymore, and we need someone who can post once a week on this thread. The weekly posts increase MDL's visibility to new players and have resulted in greater participation. Any volunteers to take over from Pardon?

It's been a while since the new rating system(see https://www.warlight.net/Forum/216823-multiday-ladder?Offset=628) was implemented on MDL.

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on the following(or anything else):

• Does it reward a player sufficiently for wins? I haven't been too active myself, so I'd like to hear from some of the higher rated players if their growth was too slow.
  
• Do you see abnormal fluctuations in rating which cannot be explained by results?
  
• Is the activity bonus per game fair(or is it too high or too low)?
  
• Does the activity bonus cap(current cap = 80) need to increased/decreased? Do you see any highly active players not reaching max cap? Are the slower players significantly disadvantaged?
  
• Is the activity bonus daily decay reasonable?

Another thing: website is not working properly when accessing it during CRON job - it usually gives error 500 but i've also seen updated ratings with not updated positions. Maybe just disable for this time with some 'sorry, please come back later' message.

Noteworthy Observation:

Buns157 being such a try hard at 11-1 since the last update, Thankfully the 1 defeat was from a Outlaw (Facetroll) , Take that noob!!! Buns has risen 50+ points and to be honest.. He kinda looks unstoppable atm... Will he be the first person to break 2100? To be continued.... (Cliffhanger! ftw)

Chicken Curry is back at the menu at 2nd and it's a slow cooked one! He's only completed 2 games.. Should I be more impressed that he went 2-0 or he completed 2 games..

Timinator has come in 3rd going 12-7 , Defeating me in the process... Never really liked him..

Malakkan is 4th , When I saw him 4th my legit reaction was a mouth jaw-dropped wondering "How the fuck did he get there?!?!" the answer being.. He went an unbelievable 15-3.. Not so surprising given his CL performance. Glad he's doing it on the MDL continuing his quite strong CL performance.

Master of desaster went 5th , 9 fucking games at a time.. Making me calculate your stupid past games since the last update.. (9/3) -_- lets see you went.. 25 - 13 .. Very nice work! You are rewarded -8 points!

Krzystof going 23 wins for 9 losses to claim 7th, If we ignored his 1st page of results.. He would be 19-1.. Sadly we can't ignore..

Belzeblu comes 8th with a record of 10-6 , He breaks the top 10 but he has broken my heart in the process cause he blacklisted me in this period.. When asked why he blacklisted he responded with..

bad talking, higly offensive language , insults, childish conversation, and a whole serie of behaviors that denote a person with serious mental problems or a person eccessively immature andI stupid, but i think you already know.

Arkanton falls from 6th to 9th.. Almost like my grades... Doing MDL updates instead of studying.. My life in a nutshell.. Arkanton has went 28-15 since the last update. Fair play to him.

Krunx also debuts to the top 10 , Well done to him! it's what I wished for during my 18th birthday which happened this month and nobody noticed.......... 6-3 he has gone since the last month! raising a juicy 31 points.

Not So Worthy Notepoints:

• This update took me 30 minutes about to type up and decorate it like a cake.. I didn't get permission from curry god motd and kinda did it out of the blue since the MDL thread was getting old and stuff. Using my initiative ;)

• Buns keeps his place at 1st but loses 2 games to go 4-2 this week Losing around 30 points. Being #1 on such a high rating means any loss is a significant loss of point. Pretty solid on keeping his #1 rank and will likely break the record for being the #1 for the most days. Will he? Watch out for the next update! (That's my attempt of keeping you interested for the update next time around..)
  
  
• Malakan goes 9-1 gaining 70 points this week. :o , Beating Buns in the progress! Such momentum... Ahh wait.. He lost to me.. What a shame.. Likelyhood he would've been extremely close to taking #1 at the moment! Still Malakan is the player on form beating Motd as well as Buns and other skilled players worth noting about.
  
  
• Motd Goes 2-1 this week but losing to Malakan therefore going -2 rating points this week. I feel sad for him, He seems like a lonely third.. Seems like Motd will need to lose a lot of games or win a lot of games to see his rank change. What way will it go I wonder.. Wait till 2018 to find out probably.
  
  
• Well Timon92 decided to re-join and has gone 2-1 since my last update, To take up the 4th position. Interesting how he's on 9 games and only 40ish points from Motd.. Probably making a charge to the top.
  
  
• Timinator has a not so terminator performance of going 2-1 his loss to Platinum (Yeah , I'm the top 5 killer this week!) Lost him points but his 2nd loss to Muli made him lose even more points.. Falling behind Timon92 and Malakan to come 5th with a deficit of 40ish points to have 5th.
  
  
• DarkPie has decided to go on a killing streak! 12 wins for 4 losses! Winning against many notable players such as Timon and Njord to gain 100+ points probably to take up 6th. Well done!
  
  
• 7th also comes to a surprise! I'm here! Woohoo! Going 10 wins and 3 losses , To go up about 130 points and more shockingly above Mod.. Who would've thought.. huh.. Beating Malakan and Timinator was a major boost in the rating points for me.
  
  
• Master of Desaster has a solid even week of 6-6 but not so solid week point wise losing 50 points :( Dropping 3 places also.
  
  
• Krzystof loses 71 points going 2-2, 2 losses being painful against Muli and Nynwhen to his points. Drops 2 places.
  
  
• Njord has decided to go on a rampage to come back to the top 10! Going 9-4 since the last update. Gaining a good amount of points probably xD..

So some momentous players in the top 10 like Njord , Myself and Malakan in 2nd. Who players probably want to avoid for the moment. Malakan still challenging for 1st though Buns is sitting comfortably in 1st for now... I expect a lot of changes in the ranks in the top 10.. So anything can happen as far as I'm concerned.

Also the MDL ladder is nearly at 365 days! It's currently on 362 , Would be awesome if people joined the ladder to mark the occasion. (Currently 77 players joined atm) Great ladder for player development and it's a lot of fun against the 1v1 ladder which is repetitive on the 1 template.
