the brb getting some food was before i even joined. i created and didnt join. then when i had made my sandwhich i joined. you were not there. you do not know. Now im going to force my self to quite arguing with a brick.

Why start a real time game then instantly ask to wait while you get food? Shouldn't you get food then join games? 5min boot is just too short so I'll stick with avoiding those games altogether.

man. now im subject to politcs. thanks for lying and the insults man.(face palm)ok i make a game. not start. leave for 4 min and then start it. i have prequisits for win % and boot % and games played. they almost always take more than 4 min. while we are picking he says play or kick. im waiting for my team as i dont know them or where there going. they pick with 20 seconds left and i get booted. again. its not a debate thread. there are those that agree with me and those that dont. i wouldnt make this thread based on lies and somone that dosent desearve the scruitiny. please stop the hate replies. i dont really care. go start a thread about whinny babies or somthing or whatever. but all this skewering and blah blah is not why i made this. i made it to share info and get a wealthy BL going.

I just read the chat at the game you linked to, and it looks like rules here are for noobs only, and vets can break them?

Please explain. I like to play here, but am not certain about this.

Why is Italy a noob map? I checked, and cant find the distinction in choosing maps between noob and vet. I see Real maps, fantasy maps and the like, but not a way to choose noob maps.

I thanked him because I appreciate it when people post these things. It saves me playing with somebody whose style clashes with mine. If somebody wants to play in that way, it's fine. I wont complain about it, but i'm going to Blacklist them and not play with them. It's what the Blacklisting function is for.

@Sarge : The Bonus Region of Italy on the Europe map is a bad start because it's too big and hard to conquer quickly due to it's design

Some people (myself included) think that the manuel boot is designed for booting persistant slow-pokes, whilst the auto-boot is the deadline. I want to have a fair game, and not be booted because I slipped over the time limit by a minute. Obviously if I consistantly do my turns right up on the 5-minute mark, I should be booted, but doing it on the very first chance you get is seen as unsportsmanly like. Doing it on round one is even worse, because it completely ruins the game (team games, atleast), as the one side will now definately win.

@ sarge. its coutosey, thats all. and vets are the only ones that have it apparently. mutual respect and understanding. its viewed as abusing the system. and extreamly weak win you do it to win games. which i beleave was the case as this particular subject( of many) did. most people wait for 10 min in any situation other than someone taking 6 mins for the 6th time. because of computer/communication issues.

booting on the deploy stage w/o VTE is something that noobs do to pad their stats. Vets won't do it because most reliable vets play the game to have fun, and 3v2 = lame

You guys know theres this handy dandy little function known as the Banking Boot Times Box. You should really check it out sometime.

Seriously though, Don't join 5 minute games if you can't take your turn in 5 minutes! Yes, I try to wait 2 times the boot time before I boot someone, they may have connection problems or they reallllly had to go to the bathroom. But some people may play 5 minute boot games because they simply don't have time to wait for people who take longer.

**consider the math**
a 30 turn 5 minute boot game - 150 minutes
a 30 turn 5 minute boot game where you wait 6 minutes each time - 180 minutes

Thats half an hour they might not have!

Yes, he did get booted after 5 minutes. But the 5 minutes before that he asked everyone to wait while he went to get some food. Even if he was only in the lobby, no proof either way, he should never have created a game and then assumed everyone needed to wait for him to finish eating, reviewing his teammate's picks, wiping the grease off his keyboard, etc...

I understand what you're saying, but he did get booted in the initial turn right at boot time, which is underhanded, if not against rules, and considering that I personally have been sitting waiting for members in a RT game for a half hour or more, it's not unrealistic to expect it to take a bit of time to collect players... nothing wrong was done by the word of the rules, just unsportsmanlike behavior, the leading cause of dissapointment in open seat games..

There's no need to get so worked up about it. Blacklisting is a personal thing. Some people want to boot at the 5-minute mark, others like not having to worry about slipping over the time-limit on occassion. The Blacklist keeps those players seperate. No need to get angry over it or try and discuss the pro's and cons of different playstyles.
