What other players have done shouldn't matter in for this game. If you just look at the strat ME tourney then yes, Mike performed better then rlhull. Saying its unfair because mike has more chance to win based on that is maybe true, but we can say its unfair he received a loss when he performs better.

As mifran said, I don't think this will cost us in the battle for promotion but what if it does? If we get 1 point short with this game counted as a loss.

why the fuck did the players join and play 2 games??

I cannot answer that question for rlhull but I know mike usually plays on phone and doesn't really bothers to check who he plays. If you don't check specifically the players invited its not uncommon to not see it on phone.

BUG/ERROR report

The bot made a weird mistake. By coincidence we found out the same game has been created (and played) twice. It happend on strat ME vs BIA.

Both games created on the same day but 3 hours apart from each other. Seems the bot somehow didn't record the game had already been created and created it again. The game first created has been won by GG, the first one finished has been won by BIA. According to the spreadsheet the first finished game has been counted since we have received a loss.

Here is what happened.

• One of the games finished at 2017-05-10 20:04:22. This opened up a slot to create a new game between BIA and GG on Strat ME.
  
• At 2017-05-10 20:10:53, a game(13455835) was created. Uploading this information to google sheets failed due to the "Invalid crypto" error. For more details on this issue, see https://www.warlight.net/Forum/257731-python-gspread-error
  
• Since the game creation + updating google sheets is not an atomic operation, the CLOT is in an inconcsistent state as the doc says that the game between BIA and GG is yet to be allocated(although it has already been on WL)
  
• On the next run(3 hours later), the CLOT saw no game between BIA and GG. So it created another game(13456166) and logged this into the doc at 2017-05-10 23:07

Resolution

• This is a known issue and can happen again in the future. There is no easy bug fix which can be applied to the CLOT for this problem(for more details see my explanation on the thread linked above). The only hope is that people decline the 2nd game and bring it to our attention if it occurs in the future. The long term solution to this problem is moving away from google docs as a database, and we will look at that in the off-season as it is a lot of work.
  
  
• We have decided to handle such issues in the following manner:
  
  • You report it to us and we fix it immediately by deleting one of the games.
    
  • If both games are played, we award the win to the player with a 2-0 record
    
  • If it is a 1-1 record, we recreate a third game and the winner of that game gets the win.
