I wouldn't exactly call any of y'all "high-functioning."

It doesn't matter if high-functioning autism exists or not. What matters is that every single person belonging to the group of high-functioning autists belongs, by definition, to the group of autists as well.

To have to explain something this simple to a supposed 'high-functioning' anything leads me to suspect they are not really what they claim to be...

Another point of contention that should be apparent by now is that you talk a lot about groups and very little about individuals.

Because individual IQ may decrease because of illnesses or trauma. However that does not imply that the genes the individual has inherently correlates with low IQ.

The individual's IQ is still a way better predictor of that individual's IQ than group membership.
