Nowadays diplos have lost their appeal to WarLight players. Veterans have left the game, some diplo-creators have destroyed the templates and the RPG is something that does not appear in so much activity in this kind of game. Today we start a revolution, a revolution that will help Diplos rise to the top again not only like they were back in the day but even better. Please leave suggestions for diplos and let's discuss how to make it even more appealing and greater than ever before. Thank you for your time.

Here is a text I found about card settings:

What cards do you think should never be used in a diplo game?
- Progressive Reinforcement Cards;
- (Emergency) Blokade Card;
- Bomb Card;
- Airlift cards in combination with gift cards;
- Strong Sanction Cards: when present, I prefer to have them on 10% for 3 turns/one card evry 3 turns and holding max. 3 cards;
- Strong reinforcement cards: don't make them higher then half the base income, so with 5 base income you can have max. +5 every 2 turns or +10 every 4 turns.
- Strong diplo cards: when present, I prefer to have them for 1 turn/one card evry 8 turns, starting with one. (sometime, players can survive for ever because of the diplo cards. One player then surround 5 allied players, all taking card pieces, and that way they can make the game continue for ever! :S)

why shouldn't abandon cards be used? Gift cards/airlifts are ok, but they're not for all diplomacies. Strong sanction cards are the best. 100% for 1 turn, paralyse them and strike hard
Diplomacy cards can get boring, I agree.

Everybody has different opinions on how cards must be used in diplos. I believe that there must be 4-5 different cards but not so "catastrophic" for other players. Reinforcement cards must give armies depending on the map. If the map is huge I think they should give +30 or +40 armies maximum. Sanction cards must not be so destructive. Airlift and gift cards must be given more rarely.

About the rules . What should generally be removed or added? We discussed a bit about the cards but we need to talk about the maps, the rules etc.

An interesting rule I have seen used is where you are allowed to attack without any declaration it just makes you look bad.

The Rule I find the most important are: You have to wait 1 turn after you declared war

Another not so important rule is: Alliances must be public

With my mod, you can set that players can declare war on the ai but not the ai on the player and so the ai will just fight with players it is at war with. If she is at war with no one, she won't attack anyone.
