Net neutrality is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization—"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else.

Games like warlight would be affected by rolling back of the FCC's rules, because we are not a web giant such as Google, Amazon, or Facebook, who can afford to pay for "fast lanes".

Net neutrality is the principle that everything loads equally bad.

I wouldn't want to pay for folk streaming films, myself. It also further entrentches monopolies by not letting businesses get competitive, wrecks any chance of free internet.

I support net neutrality and most websites load extremely fast for me the way it is now. I don't want any of it to change.

People complain about bankers, but we all know ISPs are the real evil corporations.

Well it wouldn't matter if there weren't like 4 ISPs in the United States...

^ you can thank democratic corporatism for that. corporations negotiate with politicians to screw up the tax code and make regulations crippling actual competition.

Four corporations in an oligopoly is not capitalism.

In a genuine free market every company would use net neutrality as a selling point.

Don't make it about capitalism vs socialism, I believe in Laissez-faire markets.

The internet is the greatest thing in this generation - we must protect it.

Also this law realistically will never pass. It doesn't receive that much of support. Honestly it will have the same fate of its European counterpart that failed to pass the same year, gathering.. no support

The commotion around the internet becoming restricted again is an overreaction

Finally it shouldn't be a priority for all these companies that have funded it.

Bois, this has nothing to do with free market or state ownership. Realistically, internet providers are a unique thing the world's economy is still not fully studied; it's not a natural monopoly such as water and electricity distribution, yet it's not a full-blown optional commodity you can pick up a smaller company and call it solved. It's expensive to set up a new ISP company and the existing market will actively try to harass your success.

This is not a flaw in laissez-faire, nor in state control, it is a flaw in attempting to mix both in the form of a oligopoly. It's not "the right" or "the left" that is attacking net neutrality, it's a bunch of old people trying to make some $hekels. Don't take sides, just sign in the damn thing and ensure they don't win.

This is not an issue of economics, race, Jews, or even any specific website. It is an issue of everyone being attacked by the ISPs, who can charge anyone or give slower service.

Pornhub (oh no a link to a porn site), an a traffic with an in-arguably large audience, stands for #TeamNet, as they will be affected also. Fizzer does not have the money to pay this fee as far as I know.
