I think Big USA was probably a poor choice for the first attempt. I think Quad Earth 4v4v4v4 might work better. With the Four Worlds distribution mode, it would allow for more strategy.

Would any "Generals" be interested in this if we shortened the "training" time and used Quad Earth?

I think many more potential generals would be interested on a smaller map. I'm currently swamped with uni work and such so I won't be able to give this the time it deserves.

make it a more intresting map and find some decent opponent generals (namely gui and his X company) and I am tempted to join

Well, as I said, you would have to have completed 1000 games with over 40% win ratio, and since you're nowhere near 1000 games and hiding your stats I wouldn't accept you as my general. I leave it free for others to choose their generals though.

Add in the high boot rate and predominance of RT games and no way in hell would I accept Arun as my general were I to play this style.

I'd be able to do it in a couple of weeks, I don't think I'll have a thousand games by then though :P

Getting Gui to do it with his [X]s might be interesting but the other generals would then have to have plenty of time to prepare.

I wouldn't do it on Big USA though, that map is just messy. I agree with myhand, Africa could be a good map for this or maybe East Asia?

Nah, then the general that gets to pick the first takes all of the "good" minions.

compile all the names and then have a random draw from the thread, unless this is going to become private and people are going to form teams with their friends.

each general could compile a list of players equal to the number of players in the game.. then we can use the same process that is used for territory distribution.. the difficulty would be in getting them all posted without each seeing the others list.. or ofc' just having people team up with who they want, like a tourney, but better organized ;)

just read the main page.. so I stick to the first part of my last statement.. would just need a neutral party to accept the lists, use a RNG to decide turn order, then distribute names...

I think there should be a cap on who qualifies to be an underling...I mean, people with 1000 games experience obviously can handle most scenarios by themselves, right?
btw, I would like to be an underling, should be a pretty new experience
