Okay thanks :) Still no listings of players there, and the start of this thread kind of made it sound like the teams had already been chosen, but I'll just bide my time and something will show up I'm sure.

How was everyone picked

To get members that didn't get picked for managers or players more interested, you could have something like a betting system. A set amount of people who volunteered could be picked, each with a starting amount of money, they could bet on different teams that they will win games and things and earn or lose money due to wether they betted on the winning team or not. There could be statistics after each match to show which member has the most amount of money. There could be a winner at the end of all the matches (the member with the most amount of money).

I understand if this won't work or if there is already to much to think about, but it's an idea. :) Hope to hear people's thoughts about this.

hi BlueGalaxy, yes we considered this - it was a post i did in the initial forum thread. it seemed a fair bit of work, and no-one responded to my suggestion, so i dropped it (i reckoned people were not that interested). if you feel like running a Book on the Manager League, off your own bat, you are of course welcome to :)

myhandisonfire has plans for people buying shares in clubs (to help teams get players) and sharing in the club's prizemoney. not sure that we will have that in this beta Season though - we're trying a lot of new things as it is :/

It's ok then, just wanted to see if you were interested in the idea (sorry, I didn't know of your post of the same idea). Quite new to these Manager Leagues at the moment.
