Yeah guess what? This thread, noobschool thread and now the warlight mentoring thread all left to die. But Fizzer comments on other threads in the meantime ... do you not hink helping new players is noteable? / deserves to be prominent Fizzer? Your silence is deafening.

I talked to Fizzer and if we can make guides that are:

"presentable, we can start with a notable forum post. Some new players do read the forum (just not all).

If it continues improving, we can stick it under the Help menu. The help menu is always visible whenever someone is on the site, and it's the most natural place players look when they want to learn more."

I know not all of you will help with this.

But I also know that most of the very good players do want better opposition and to help new players, so if we can make smexy guides that Fizzer likes they will get advertised and new players will see them!

I really think we should do this to help warlight develop, to help new talent come through, to keep the site growing, we should use the wiki at first and if that goes well it will be moved to an even more visible place on the website :)

well since we have GG's guide, the only real issue to code and set it up so that when you log on there is a tab under "help" that will bring up the guide pages which are organized by type and skill level.

Fizzer is saying he wants to see uber guides before he will link them. The challenge has been laid down ...

But we should have a guide for:

*The main maps - ME Earth, Europe, Europa etc
* The ladder
* Warlight dictionary
*
*
*
^^ Other important stuff I didn't mention :)

Post things that doesn't require exception playing skill (something not to do with strategy) and within a fortnight I should be able to write something up for you. I won't do playing terms because there's a Wiki page for that.
