Okay Snakeling, I understand what you are saying. This clan league will be a lot less games than the last one because there are only 7 clans in each group instead of the 20 clans last time. I will invite your leader to a game.

I made a mistake when I said about the settings earlier. 3v3 will still be Europe map but it will have Warlords in distribution instead of cities. Sorry if my earlier post messed up anybody.

Am I the only one who thinks that the minimum of 4 people per clan is too low? Maybe I'm missing the point here, but I thought that the league's main purpose was to indicate , more or less accurately, the whole clans' strength, and 4 is definitely to little to do that.

Personally, I'd set at least 6 as a minimum, with negative points if a clan is not able to gather this number. But if a clan doesn't have 6 active players, then it's not a real clan in my opinion.

Now, I'm not trying to force my idea, not at all. I'm clanless, so I don't care very much, I just wanted to share my opinion.

rento, some clans are small groups of friends or people form the same coutnry, and for this tournament you only need 4 different players to participate properly (4 1v1s, 2 2v2 teams and 1 3v3 team).
It should only matter how many players need to play, not how many players you have which aren't participating.

Rento, I agree with you that it would be better with 6 players in each clan. But some clans don't have 6 players and it would mean leaving out the smaller clans. And I think most of the clans with less than 10 players are trying to use everybody in their clan in at least one event even if it might hurt their score a couple points, because it is important to give everyone in your clan a shot.

The problem is that Warlight lacks an official clan system. You say that a group of 4 friends can already be called a clan. Some other man would say 3 is enough, or maybe even 2, why not?

For me, a clan is a term used for bigger groups, about 10+, but I realise that not every clan member wants/is able to participate, so I think a line-up of 6 (or more, if a clan wants to) would be good.

It's all subjective, I know.

JSA, smaller clans could participate, they would just lose some points. They could still have fun in a big clan event (that's important), but at the end they would be ranked lower, so that a "clan" consisting of only Myhand, Gui, HHH and another top player would not win the entire thing. That would be silly. And it's not unlikely to happen.

Anyway, how many clans do you think would suffer from this change? It can't be a big number.

i would say that because it's 4 1v1, 2 2v2, and 1 3v3 you should have a minimum of 4*1+2*2+1*3... = 11 members and some negative points for less, but it might be to harsh and might hit some of the top clans like apex, and i wouldn't like to let member numbers ruin the competition.. minimum of 6 would be good imho..

rento - by the way i see nothing bad in allowing a team of some of the top clanless players compete in it. It would be great to compete with the very top here for comparison. I think a team of myhand + timi + hhh + gui + gangnam + unknown or whoever else could realistically reach #1 here and if they did, it would make a great fight for the throne in the next seasons.. Even if they will be not ranked, they could get points to see how high up would they end up if being a clan.. (like guest racing drivers competing in open groups of rallye just for fun of it, and comparison, how fast a f1 driver can get on gravel etc)

I also see no problem with a team of top clanless players compete and I see no reason why they shouldn't be ranked. After all, they would be like a clan, just that they would prefer to call themselves a team. Nothing wrong with that...

...as long as they get a reasonable number of these top players. Again, it's all subjective, but 4 just doesn't work for me.

It's too late to change it for this clan league, a few clans have sent lineups and I'm already talking to the smaller clans, I wouldn't like telling them they didn't have enough people to compete after they are spending their time trying to put a team together. However, I agree that it might be better in the future, the 4 was started in Season 1 mostly for AHOL and Apex, both of which had only 4-5 players when it first started. Now all the major clans seem to have at least 6-7 players so it isn't as big of a deal. I'm in favor of upping it to 6 for the next clan league. Does anybody disagree with expanding it to 6 clans for the next clan league?

a clan, i think is a group. A group, i think, is just made up of 3 or more people.

So i think the minimum should be 3 actually :P
though having only 3 players mean that the clan will get deducted points.

JSA, I think that so far it has been working fine, and anyway how many clans do actually have 4 players and compete in this? As far as I am aware none, unless the unaffiliated team joins, I doubt they would get too many players with the,, but they aren't really a clan.

Also for now there hasn't been any problem with the system, so I think it should stay, when there is a problem and it goes wrong, then changing makes sense. However keep the rule that you can't have 1 person playing 2 1v1s or points deducted, makes sense.

I mean for sure against any clan we have a maximum of 11, but for different clans I was just wondering if you could have a different line up then the previous clan encounter ?

i think i get what you are trying to say, aranka. I talked to Mannerheim a few days ago and he asked if he could field different teams too, if thats your question then no, you cant, cuz its going to held like a tournament style, once the teams are submitted and the tourney starts, you cant change teams.

This is not possible aranka, because you are in a bunch of RR tournament, and you cannot change players half way through a round robin.
