This was not the case.
The name "Palestine" was actually first used in the 5th Century BC, by Herodotus, born in Halicarnassus, Ancient Greece, a coastal city of Anatolia, when he called the area of Israel and Gaza "Palaistinē" (Παλαιστίνη) directly named after the Philistines. The Romans later, deriving their word from his, named their province of Israel "Palaestina", to humiliate them, after they crushed the Jewish revolt of Shimon Bar Kokhba.

Palestinians are arabs yes and Palestine from Gaza to al Baḥr al Mayyit, Al Quds, everything belong to the Muslim World. Israel is illegal and a warcrime.The Israeli state is a slap in the face to anyone with a sense of justice, the Americans and British supported a zionist movement to retake the Holy Land after the Second World War not through any actual right to the land, but rather as a shuddy attempt to compensate them for the Holocaut.
