@Jefferspin:

The 2nd stage will be pretty rigid, but if both parties agree to a time before the stream is supposed to be hosted (before Wednesday/Friday) I don't really see why not.

@Chris:

Yeah 7 PM EST would be 9 PM west coast and early morning for the East Asians. That's the time I'd be most interested in. Maybe 6 PM EST.

@Gnuffone:

Are you sure that 8 minutes is enough for pick stage? 10 minutes would be my limit on pick stage, thus the suggestion for 5 + 5 banked.

@Turtle & Hennns:

Has to be an autoboot so neither side complains.

@Hennns & Ryiro:

Idk, 15 minutes seems too much.

I'm toying with a lot

7pm EST would be 10pm pacific. I am 2 hours behind in MST. So 9pm for me. 8pm would be really iffy with kids that go to bed at 8.

Option	boot	Bank
A	5	10
B	3	15
C	3	10
D	5	5
E	8	3

This show different options and the max time (min) a game can take after it've started. Note that Banking can be set to end after X turns and I've not included any option which add time to bank (I can if you want). Also since it's multiplayer game, technically I should multiplay banked time by #players, but I've not done that; so games can take longer than the chart shows. Anyway thought you might wanted a comparison :p

	MaxTime
Turn	A	B	C	D	E
0	10	15	10	5	3
5	35	30	25	30	43
10	60	45	40	55	83
15	85	60	55	80	123
20	110	75	70	105	163
25	135	90	85	130	203
30	160	105	100	155	243

@Turtle: Uggh, I'll stop talking in American system and just talk military time from now on. I get too confused.

Point is for America I'd want it to be roughly 18:00 at the earliest and 22:00 at the latest for any of the timezones, which would make it early morning for the East Asians.

@Hennns:

Thanks for the table. E is eliminated. B and C seem too short, so I'd pick between A and D given these options.

7 min boot with 8 minutes banked but the banking lasts 3 turns (most important turns too)

Lol. Yeah i did not catch the time error.

If you do 7 minute boot those games will be way too long. Like 2 hours probably

5+10 seems more than reasonable. Experienced players will have no problem adjusting to 3+5, but if people want to talk more, I guess 3 minutes is not enough. I think either of 5+10, 5+5 settings is very fair to both experienced and new players. Probably for the sake of competition 5+10 is preferred, considering picks sometimes take >10 minutes.

So I would like to start 1st stage in a week from now so you all have until the 4th of May to send in your applications before we start.

I have been thinking and I believe that for the 2nd stage that these times would be most appropriate:

17:00 GMT - 8 on Tuesday and Thursday for NA region

17:00 GMT on Tuesday and Thursday for Europe region

Here's a time converter if you're confused: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc (GMT-8 is also America/Los_Angeles and GMT is also Europe/London)

The streaming times would be Wednesday and Friday @ 12:00 GMT - 6

Boot times for the 1st stage will be 1 day 4 hours with vacations not honored. If this conflicts with your vacation schedule, remember you can list yourself as an alternate and have someone else play in your team during 1st stage, then swap with him for the 2nd stage.

Boot times for the 2nd stage and on will be 5 minutes + 10 minutes banked. I think this is really fair.

Hope my teammates are on then. Dinner time is probably a no go for me with a wife and two kids, but we will see.

Just use ye olde classic "Let's push dinner back an hour because I have a competitive gaming competition to attend" excuse.

Sorry for double post, but would like to remind everyone that while you may not think you have a chance at winning the entire competition, simply ranking in the top 6 of the region will allow you to skip the 1st stage of the next season. So while you may not be able to take 1st now, you're giving yourself a jump start to compete even harder next year by making it in the top 6. :).

Also the practice you will get from playing so many games is worth a lot too.

Any team willing to embrace me? I have very little experience in 3v3 europe, so don't expect me to be active in the picking stage, but i think i can be useful throughout the game

Hey Krzychu, I'm in the same boat, looking for a team. Maybe we can find a couple more players and form one.
