zxctycxz has a world map this big which was declined, so it can happen.
the bonuses are pretty weird and i honestly dont understand them, and if someone can't understand them without reading some instructions, then the map probably wont be accepted.

I don't really understand what anybody is talking about. The boni are easy to see what they mean, they are just hard to see.

"Boni"

I'm not sure that's really the plural of bonus :P

Maybe digit numbers will do, also I still need to find out a name that can replace 'penguins' as title of the map.

@Xedrox: because the metropolitan areas surrounding cities like Paris, Moscow, and Rio are massive. The DC metro area just isn't as big, and is dwarfed by the size of Maryland and Northern Virginia.

Huh. Rio is not the capital of Brazil :p

@Zephyrum: I know, it's just a large city.

This is really nit-picky, but as a native Michigander, I can tell you that Lansing should be Saginaw or Flint, and Traverse City should be some small city up there, probably Cheboygan

The bonuses doesn't look weird to me, they look like they are set by country borders, nothing odd I can see about them.

The digit numbers will be replaced by a color code in each of the holes of a territory. The capacity of the svg is too high to reach under the size limit. I'm sorry

edit: There's no need to switch names in Michigan. Traverse city & Lansing are still the biggest cities with the largest population in their region.

i guess u meant 'bonus value' with 'digit numbers'

holes are looking good, and this idea will also bring a different looking map on warlight, but i think these holes are too small for players to easily recognise colors in them, and may be they have to zoon in often...

can't colors of border lines of territories be used for this purpose?
i hope u got what i mean...

Using border lines would mean that every territory needs to be inset which takes up memory (insetting causes the corners to curve). Also, it would mean that different coulours couldn't be used for the countries/ continents.

The King, as a Turkish person, I appreciate your using the funny letter "ğ" in "Ağri".

No irony intended here, it is really the "ğ" that's in the name of the city.

But above in this thread, you say:
All names are converted to their English names because WL is an english speaking community. It would be confusing if they're all written in their own native language.

If that's the intention, then "Ağri" must be "Agri".

On the other hand, if you want to use the real name, then the last letter must be "ı" ("i" without a dot). So: "Ağrı" is how we write it.

Not that it's a big issue. Let me repeat: I'm fond of having seen "ğ" on a map.

There are sure a lot of alternative ways but I'm now trying to reduce the size by a svg optimizer to see what happens.

Agri is not the english translation of Ağri, isn't it? Agri is just a misspelling.
Indeed Ağrı is the correct form.

Here's a look how my inkscape file currently is:

Canada:

I've removed all the holes in the current version and have replaced it with bonusses values but the file is too big to upload (around 2,8MB). This is really a terrible problem. 'll take even more time to publish. sadface :(

Save as a Plain SVG instead, if not already.
