I'm very centrist. I only lean libertarian / left because that's how it's quantified. If it helps, i abvocate for one sole leader, who has a council to determine the quality of his leadership quality. It would prevent a caligula and encourage a tiberius. It's still a rough draft.
If you mean between democrats and Republicans, I tend to agree more with democrats, but republicans put up good notions too. I'm simply too politically indecisive. However, i do like a lot of other minor parties. The Libertarians aren't that bad to be honest. Legalized prostitution anyone?
I kind of gave up on that idea a long time ago... I'm still open to creating an OpenBlacklistProject but that'll probably be a few months from now when I have the time to write an auto-blacklist script.
Yes. There's this weird obsession with building empires or worshipping the nation-state that you'll find if you hang around long enough in real-time Open Games.
I consider myself a social democrat, although I'm vehemently anti-socialist/communist and anti-fascist as well. Take that however you will.
An open blacklist sounds like a good idea as long as you don't just blacklist ideologically. There's some players that ruin games/get booted in team tournaments, and I want to avoid them more easily. Also, if you're going after fascists/libertarians why not also go after Stalinists too? They shouldn't get a free pass.
Also, saying that Hitler was a socialist is like saying North Korea is democratic. Just because they say it in their name doesn't make it true. Hitler did not support worker control over the means of production.
And seeing how the NSDAP split off from the German Workers' Party (another socialist organization)- a group that Hitler was not a founding member off- it's also wildly revisionist and inaccurate to claim that Hitler was the "first" person to use the term "socialist" to describe his views. He was a fascist, plain and simple, and one of the foremost enemies of leftists.
