That was really shitty of him, but I don't think you should really be pissed at me for not letting you know since your version wasn't actually public.

Imperator - why should anyone be pissed on you for this? Unless you're a RA's alt... And I don't see how someones intellectual property is less valuable just because it's "only" 99% finished.

By the way, I'm downvoting this map, and I encourage everyone to do the same. Fridge said, that he'll finish his map after this, so we'll have the "original" version available pretty soon.

It's just that, in his own words he is "highly offended" that nobody reported this to him. So that's why he would be pissed at me.

So what if he redrawn the map? Why it should bother a regular player like me? As for me, whenever a good map is made, no matter by which means, is good.

People try to make the best content possible, and not for money - for free. Why should you "sue" someone who made a similar to yours map? Make a better one so people will play it and not his map. He did not steal your money or anything and even credited you, so why you bother?

He added region bonusses which you hadn't in your map, but exept for that i don't see much changes

Because someone was a thief an nobody likes to have stuff stolen? You wouldn't like it if you created art and someone stole it after you'd trusted them to help test/admire it.

Fridge's map version is better than Ra's! That's siriusly interesting......

What i think of this:

Fridge thought of the original idea.
Ra copied the idea and published first.

This case is a bit different from the incident of that of DynamiteT. But, I believe the word "copy" is still pretty important.

However, Fridge has a chance to lose in this case (unfortunately). Ra "published" it first. Small amount of people will side with Ra and I am not sure if Fizzer is one of them.

I hope Fridge's map will be published soon! :D Copying isn't good! This map is still Fridge's though. But, I believe that Ra has the capability of making 4.0 :)

No, because the map is not drawn/created in the same way as Troll's Europe. Many of the Europe maps have been based off of Troll's version, but they are not copies of that map entirely as they all have something unique about them. The map idea may sometimes come from Troll (Alternate Europe/European Borders actually references this), but the actual map is the creators's own individual and unique product. However, RA's and Fridge's maps are pretty much exactly the same. Since Fridges has been out for almost a year (only in its preliminary phase),i t is not only just a "map idea" like he has been credited with; it should actually give him credit for designing the entire map.


Fridge, I've been waiting to publicly play your map for a long time now, although I do appreciate that it has technically been made public, I would like to see the original out soon as well.

That aside...this is a dick move by RA. As a map maker myself, I take VERY high offense to this. At the very least he should have mailed Fridge to ask if he was going to finish it. Classless move, and I will be voting it down as well.

Fridge please finish yours so we can play it. And as far as alerting you...I would have if I had known. But I might have seen yours once (or maybe not at all), so I had no clue it was ripped off. It is hard because there are a lot of Europe maps. Another one might have stood out in my mind right away.

It's settled then. RA's will be rated 1-2, RA will pay $100 to Fridge, Fridge will publish his map.

The jury reaches a verdict on RA: Guilty.
