Heres the problem, the code itself was written in Flash, and seeing as Fizzer wants to get away from Flash and move into HTML he's going to have to remove things that were written in Flash. And if you've ever worked with coding before, rewriting an entire script into a different language isn't fun. So why blame him for removing it all together. I hated the my games tab and open games tab when I first started playing.

You're a minority, Des. And you used to have choice between Dashboard and My/Open Games (with unchangeable default on Dashboard). If he wants to convert the site into HTML5, he should do it all at once, with all pages translated.

My position on the new update is kinda neutral as of now. I kinda like the idea of having the option to view things like tournament invites, new posts in the forums, and the simplicity of seeing almost everything there.

What I don't like is the lay out. One big scroll line to get to that information. Call that nit picking but having to scroll to see things like open games, tournament invites or recent forum posts(all of which are closer to the bottom) is iffy ui. Since Fizzer will most likely not change this update its best to not lose our shit over it.

I personally prefer the open games/ongoing games tabs. I think it would be cool if tournament invites were more linked to in game mail, and if things related to community were more accessible through Multiplayer.

We may want to start approaching fizzer on what we specifically want out of updates before they happen. We always seem to go nuke crazy after updates.

But hey! What do I know? I play through mobile so im entirely unaffected.

Xapy, please go take a basic programming course, I honestly don't think you realize how hard that is. Besides, what really matters is that he cares. So what, new UI. Everything goes through with it from Apple software to your favorite restaurants menu.

Things change, if you wanna be a relic Xapy fine by me, but if your gonna mention your prehistoric opinions about things that'll never change. If you don't like it, don't play its that simple. There are plenty of people playing right now getting used to all of the changes.

TL;DR Go take a basic programming course. And stop your whining you look foolish when you do.

Actually, I am taking a programming course - why is it hard? Don't do a little at a time - Flash has to start up again, and again, from using Dashboard. Either go full HTML5 (taking a long time) or don't. With this care, I want Fizzer to go away and stop "caring" - like I said, his updates have done little or harmed, especially this one. There's absolutely no input from the community about the updates, which is bad. Uservoice - the top 3 voted have been on there for 5 years, and still have not been implemented.

Furthermore, he didn't even truly delete My/Open Games - I've had to bookmark them - would it really be hard to just keep them around? I will get used to using the bookmarks often, and you can get used to eating s*** for the rest of your life, but why should you?

Well erm, I already used the dashboard so I'm ok.

My Games isn't all that relevant, but Open Games sure as hell is. It will be difficult and frustrating for newcomers to find open games.. all the way down to the lower left. Whereas the 'Open Games' tab led them straight to the open games.

If you were running this sight Xapy this would still be in flash, with probably about a third of the major fixes and updates that have gone along with it. Maybe even one or two of the things from uservoice. But other than that, this game would be dead.

And they are foolish, you sound like a 11 year old boy who's playing Call of Duty screaming at his screen about how everyone's queer because something isn't going your way. And staying in the past with the My Games and Open Games tabs make you look like a relic. Simply put.

Well, I respect Fizzer greatly, but I too must register my disapproval of taking away the my games, open games tab. I really dislike the dashboard, but with these tabs it was easier to ignore. I still technically can ignore it, but it is much more of a pain switching between games now. :(

The success of Warlight has been driven by the actual features of the games that can be played. Unfortunately that same success has left the game owner(s) with the mistaken impression that they can design an effective UI. The UI has always been somewhat crude as if it was done in a hurry by people without many skills. (NOT talking about coding) The changes forced on us today bring us to a new low. The Dashboard is pathetic.

Put My Games back on a separate page. It's about the games I have chosen to play. Everything else on the Dashboard can stay there... where I will NEVER look at it.

I agree that the dashboard is a bit gaudy but I got used to it...it has one feature that is useful that being that it shows how long it is your turn and the boot time together..that is the only plus I can give it....A good warrior knows change is inevitable so he must embrace it and master it quickly so that when he comes upon his enemy distracted with pissing and moaning because somebody changed the script, he will have no problem removing the bitching heads from their shoulders .....so I ask ..are you a good warrior or a bitching head?

Yes, we were warned. So? Doesn't make it any better. Fizzer's pain? From doing what he loves for a job? 2-6 hours of programming every day seems pretty lax, and he said that he makes "enough" money. Now, the open games are filling up more slowly.

Now, Fizzer is a good person, and he tries (I think), but he really needs to get more community input before doing rash decisions like this. You are the minority, you are the "hip". I am not a relic, I'm the majority - noone save 1% wants the My/Open Games to go away.

If I knew how to programme decently, and if programming was not too boring for me (2-6 hours a day), then this game would be perhaps with less updates, but bigger, more community-directed updates.

I like dashboard, but not for browsing open games - scrolling through all my games and then promoted games (most people probably don't care about them).
i understand the removing flash idea, but personally i would like to see dashboard refined before people are forced to use it. And why not create html versions of open games and my games anyway?

if it was said previously that open games/my games were being taken away then fine.i think that a foreword from fizzer/mod stating why he had done this would have been better.ie-if he wanted to remove flash/easier to maintain etc.without an explanation,it just seems that the update as got everyones[90%]backs up!.

Yeah this update has created more clicking and longer waiting/loading times. User-ability of the site has dropped radically. Thats the bottom line, And thats why people stop using sites. Its annoying and totally pointless as it was quicker before.

Des if you call this a success, you wouldnt last 5 mins in the industry and i suspect that 11 yo kid was you.

@Xapy, Again, I'm calling it as I see it, I'm not insulting you, I'm telling you my opinion, its like an arsehole everyone has one. I'm not right, but nor am I wrong. Again, Fizzer said he was making "Enough" money, but he also stated in the livestream today that when he told people what game he's made, he's had to repeat it several times along with spelling it out.

And its not "hip", its called advancing with the times. Everything does, sorry that the one thing that truly made you happy, you had to bookmark. But honestly the Dashboard offers much more in the long term than the Open Games and My Games tabs. Instead of trying to revert things back to the way they were. Maybe you could try and advance the Dashboard to something better.

And to be honest, I've had you blacklisted for a while now. So sweet, glad to be on your BL:)
