Iberia. Great, historic, well done, balanced, all-purpose (even limitedly for diplomacy) map.

Well I'll be voting for Orbis, naturally.

jj: Big maps are essential for good diplomacy games, and WarLight would be really superficial and boring without them. The voting system can't remove big maps just because you don't like them.

I can understand the slight bias you may have.

Indeed - big maps are essential for good diplomacy games. Except that we are not voting for our favourite diplomacy map. We are voting for a 4 player FFA map. Due to the fact the territory sizes on Orbis vary so much, I can hardly imagine a balanced strategic game on it.

Ox, I cannot agree more! I am sure, that Fizzer has stats about the number of week auto games played derived from the size of the map. And that can prove our point.

I love this Orbis Map, its very good, but guys! are you really going to play this map with 4 players?)

You've completely missed the point. I was responding to jj, who was saying that there's no point in big maps. My reply was simply explaining that there is a point to them.

That is down to the stupid MoTW autogame system, the feature of having the number of players in a MoTW determined by the map size has been requested a lot (I myself even posted it on the uservoice once), but fizzer, as everyone knows, just doesn't listen. It might get added at some point.
Until then, you are right, the autogames would be better with smaller maps. But autogames aren't neccecerely the main aspect of MoTW, its about the glory and reward in putting effort into a map, thus spurring the mapping community on to make better maps. Smaller maps will take considerably less effort (unless they have more artwork, although few MoTWs have had much artwork). It is of course debatable whether we really need more maps, but thats going too deep into the debate.

If you want to vote for my uservoice post, go here https://warlight.uservoice.com/forums/77051-warlight-features/suggestions/7570524-relevant-map-of-the-week-auto-games
There may be a more popular post with the same request, so if you can find one vote for that instead.

I suppose, TeeMee. Perhaps this calls for a community-made Diplo Map of the Week, if we want to give diplo-map-makers some glory for their hard effort :)

You've got it all wrong...MotW isn't voting on the best map for an auto-game or best map for diplomacies or 4 player FFA's. MotW is voting on the best or favourite map each week between the nominated maps. Best auto-game shouldn't even be considered, it's just an added extra that doesn't really work at all.

Though I agree the auto game system needs some major fixing. Neither does MotW have good long reviews/analysis like the old one did.

I never said that! I love your new map. I also like to play small week-auto maps. Please be accurate)

My point,is that its no fun to play your awesome map with the Auto settings of 4 players. We vote for the Map of the Week guys, not for the map that you like. I will play map of the week, and i guess, most of the ppl voted for the orbis would not((

Apollo is right. I even doubt that most of the voters play the template in the end.
Anyways, maybe you should ask Fizzer to implement a code that adjust the map of the week template due to the number of territories (affecting the number of players and round time within the real time template).

jj, the point of Map of the Week isn't just that there are auto-games with the map. The auto-game feature is just an extra thing. The main point of it is to decide the best maps in WarLight, for which, in my opinion, Orbis qualifies.

Zxctycxz, exactly as I said on the previous page...It's the players own opinion though, its your favourite and what you think the best is, not what messed up rating system says or anyone else.

For me Orbis might qualify for how its been made but I wouldn't say for what it plays like. Plus the fact you haven't included Eliods name in the description or the map, is not good...Not saying its a bad map though, its good.

Africa wins for me, good to play, an old classic. Iberia closely second, good to play, made well and looks good.

It would be nice if you were a bit nicer about it, Жұқтыру. I let you test it and suggest improvements to it, some of which I even implemented into the final version, not to mention putting your name in this map.
