I an astonished that no one liked Dublin Warrior's Brick wall (back in page 2 or so). I must be strange. I like it a lot!

It's put there, it's static, it's hard to pass for anyone including the owner, but for the rest is sitting and watching. If you happen to go 100 km/h when it suddenly appears in the middle of the road... well, we all know what happens!

Except...brick wall is the picture of the Bloackade card.

Try "Guerilla". You leave it all on a local militia's hands, which can defend much better than you, but you can no longer control the land. :P

I like Abandon, though. :|

"Natural Disaster" might work, since it would be hard to fix. But those are temporary...

I'm with hades and willc, barricade card sounds good. "an improvised barrier erected across a street or other thoroughfare to prevent or delay the movement of opposing forces." which is exactly what it is

I like Chris' priority blockade and delayed blockade, though they are a bit formal.

I also like barricade, but unless you are looking in a dictionary, it's just another synonym for barrier, blockade, etc.

My favorite so far has been booby trap, and not just because it has "booby" in it.

If you're looking for less formal,

abandon = fence card (picture of a wooden fence)
blockade = wall card (current picture of brick wall)

*EDIT: Another idea I just though of would be to call the abandon card the "Screen Card" but I can't picture a suitable way to illustrate a screen off the top of my head

I like the card names being simple and colourful. Priority/Delayed blockade is boring.

I personally like the existing name and would prefer it kept.

I would like to keep it too. But if you really want to change it, then change it to "Scorched earth card"

My issue with changing the name is that all the posts from the past will be confusing to newer players looking to get better by reading old posts. I'd vote for moving forward on the product and letting sleeping dogs lay (lie?)

I can't think of a name that is outright better than Abandon, unless you do the boring way that Chris pointed out.

there are other things more important than minor name changes, though i do suspect (at least) time is a constraint here for fizzer, limiting his options

while I have him here (hopefully), thank you Fizzer for keeping this wonderful game going for so long :)

IF the Abandon Card is to change into the Brick Wall Card,

the picture on the Blockade Card could also change.


I must say that I'm getting partial to the Trap Card options, myself.
