Btw, this tourney will take a long time to complete, but that's partly deliberate. I wanted it to be something epic :)

Also the reason it is Double Elimination is to make it more fun/fair for the less skilled players. If they match up with a Master in the first round then their experience of it will be pretty short and lame, but the lower group should in theory house only players with lower skill levels, and hopefully give them a fair fight :)

So that is your target group I assume?

Koala was pointing out that by saying "98% joined players are noobs" implies (though does not necessarily infer) that you consider yourself to be one of the 2% who are not "noobs."

Based on this assumption your statement could be considered arrogance (offensive display of superiority or self-importance; overbearing pride) due to insulting 98% of the members of the tournament, and placing yourself in the "superior" 2%.

98% of Warlight is noobs, so what? Are you afraid you might lose to one? This tournament is open to anyone, so everyone has a chance, and what's wrong with that?

Besides, if you won't like it, don't play, no-one is forcing you...

It is supposed to just be a bit of fun that the whole community can join in with and get behind, talk about and have a laugh. That's all, it's just a game, can we remember that just for this tournament?

In which case, as you were putting yourself into the 98%, I would say, don't worry, and have fun! :)

also, its a 512 person tournament, more than the amount of players currently in the 1v1 ladder. so there should be enough spots for noobs and arrogant pricks (that was a joke, please don't throw tomatoes at me).

Fleece considering he was mentioned by nearly every person in the "Best Warlight player" thread (probably not called that) I think he can safely consider himself to not be a "noob". Also he never said 98% of warlight players are noobs, just that 98% of people in that tournament are noobs.
I don't think he does care, he was just saying that 98% of people playing are noobs - As HHH he didn't talk and as quicksand he just talks rubbish, ignore it

I found that thread quite boring really, I'm not into the whole, "blowing each other's horns" thing, but each to his own. If you're honestly that worried about losing to noobs then just don't play, I won't judge you for that :)

Since this is a coin tournament, please refrain from filling open seats with alts. That could make thugs unpleasant.

I prefer when thugs are pleasant :)
