Hmm.. Said earlier I'd like to play, 10 games. But I don't see myself on the spreadsheet :/
you are currently number 27 on the right column.
Why is there a max player count? Surely it would be better to let all the players be bought up, then managers can just choose not to run them (just like a reserve players in real life)
There is no max player count. Clubs can sign as many players as they like. I would assume clubs wouldn't want to just stack up a lot of reserve players though, since players are paid salaries even if they don't play at all. It is not better to let all players be bought up. It is not fun for a large group of people to be told they are kind of in the league(when they're really not). A next group(at a lower skill level) is the best solution in my opinion. But that will be determined by the amount of time it takes to get this started. Every club is advised to have at least 1 reserve player in case of emergencies.
I have a suggestion. In case you have way more players sign up than the amount needed to run the league, maybe you could add more tournaments? Instead of the "youth/academy" thing.
Unfortunately this is not an option for Season 1. A lot of calculations have gone in to ensuring a stable economy. Adding more tournaments adds more money into the system and would require recalculations which I'd rather avoid as I have other things to take care of :)
It would also make the season longer(I really don't want a season to run for half a year!).
If a lot of managers have deemed a set of players to not be at the same skill level as the rest of the players in Group A, it makes sense to allow these players to play in a group with their own skill level so we don't have lop sided results. So I really think making a division is the best approach here. Let's discuss this offline if you still disagree.
