2v2 ladder picks seems to be something he is VERY resistant to change. We had polls on this before, and more than %80 of people said they wanted additional picks on there.

We've never had an official poll on it. This will be the first time.

At any rate, much appreciated. I think the map is cool (nice to have variety of earth maps on ladders). We just need the settings right to make it strategic.

^exactly. the map got voted in earlier. sadly the expected Settings weren't added to it. i really think the 2vs2 ladder map could be good with Fitting Settings.

Thanks a lot for taking our opinions on the ladders! The rt ladder has a huge potential for pure fun, but also strategic value. giving the community a poll is much appreciated

Fizzer, I think there are already a good amount of templates. If you can give us a number of templates that will be on the new RT ladder, that would be great, because I have over 40 templates that I can suggest.

@Benjamin, don't suggest all template that you have. Just the best ones - specifically the ones which are best for a short (less than 30 minute-long) game.

The more templates the better ladder (RT) in my opinion. Playing same and same template is not about skill anymore (well, it is but not as much). You can just watch two or three games of how best player picked and played. I've played nearly 1500 games on that ladder and want something new! As I know new templates are not going to be changed soon, I would like as much of them as it is possible.

if you find many great templates i'd like to add those... i've played a lot of games on the rt ladder too a year ago and i like it with like 10 templates, but more GOOD ones would be fine too. Just hard to find them

Would be good if there was more templates or at least a good rotativity.

some of them really suck, also there shouldnt be auto distribution on a ladder, and no links to games :/

Please dont use the same polling system that ps does.

@Ben - you should remove ones that are not good (like mentioned auto dist). Also ones that are already on there or already suggested. Otherwise you make more work for Fizzer. I would say people should really only have 3-4 good ones to suggest, as he won't add dozens of them.


I think 10-15 templates is the max we should have really. Otherwise people will have too much to learn. Or maybe replace the 1-2 on there that are not good first. Then in a few months add a few new ones or something, so it isn't a ton to learn at once.

Even if they never even played a game on the ladder? I think there should be a minimum number of games played on the rt ladder to be allowed to vote

Will there be alt tracking? Many people have multiple ladder-eligible accounts...

Fizzer, are you going to list all of the templates in one long list and have people vote, or will you break it out by template type (one poll for LD, one for MA, one for commanders, etc)? Also, how many templates are you planning to select for the RT ladder (or will this be a question in one of the polls)?

If I suggest a Local Deployments template, is there a possibility of us winding up with 2 LD templates on that ladder (this is something I'd like to avoid)?

I would imagine we would vote by category. Only thing that makes sense for the RT ladder.
Also PLEASE make a executive decision and allow only one template on each map
