Corp should plainly be more careful who to pick to represent them.

I have a question about remake games, what if a clan doesn't agree to a remade game? What happens then?

If the other clan informed in time and the CL panel decides that the game has to be remade, if the other clan doesn't agree, it loses the game.
The rules say that a retired player can be changed, and by signing in the CL8 your clan accepted the rules. Obviously you can be in disagreement (in group B happened) and that would be taken into account to change some rules for the future, but in the ongoing league it won't be changed.

Tbh I still dont like this replacement rule. At least not how it is now. It makes more problems than it solves.

Also
Clans with retired players get a second Chance, actually okay. But to at least the same conditions? If not even improved conditions?
-There is no deadline for calling their substitute. Or?
-Do they really get 2 chances for a win (like 'first it is tried with an AI to win and if it doesnt work we know how our opponent plays and we can try with a substitute', come on really?)
-By the first game opponents stretagy can be tested, like mentioned above, and that not by watching history of past games.

That are some things that are coming into my mind. I am not criticizing someone special, only the rule. But still I hope it can be improved somehow in this Direction for next League

You don't get remakes, just replacements for all games that exit the pick stage after Rule 6 is invoked (but not necessarily after the panel delivers their verdict).

@knyte the games in the RoundRobins will still be played, isnt it? So for me it is a rematch.

New games? I believe they won't count if they still have the retired player in them. Not 100% sure on them, but I believe you can just do whatever you want in those games (autopilot, surrender, actually cheat, etc.) with no consequence- since the remakes are the ones that count.

If the game started before the clan claims the retirement, the game will be played, so there is no "try with the AI" and "try again later", you only have the AI option.
If the game was created after the claim, the team with the booted/retired player should surrender because that's a "no valid game".

First of all i like to say i feel sorry for all the clans who had to replace players for whatever reason cause its def. not funny not having a line-up which is not "working"

But on the other hand i do think this somehow is getting to far. I think the organizers of the clan league should think of simplifing rules. More rules more exceptions more circumstances to think about.

I would like to see it this way: Put together a line-up of persons from whom you can expect that they are going to play the games/tournaments they are set in.So no retirment and replacement discussion are needed anymore.

We are having now how many threads about replacement and retirment? How many games had to be reset and are replayed? How many arguments have already been stated and caused bad feelings in cause of different point of views?

Less discussion about rules and regulations may lead to more fun playing the clan league !!

Cheers

@Don, these are the rules that the panel came up with after season 7. Next season there won't be any replacement games.

ETA: we'll handle replacement in a more sensible manner at least, since there will be CLOTs rather than RRs.

@Ox
We cannot retrospectively remake all those games. GE stating that Koala is MIA isn't enough. We'll use the date you notified Pushover, and by that date, only the game against VS in Great Lakes will be remade.

They don't get "two chances" as you put it. Only games(not past pick stage) after the notification will be remade. I think the confusion here is due to the declaration being made in private in some cases(which could have been avoided). This is why we request that such declarations are made in this thread henceforth. I think Memele has provided a clear explanation of how these cases are being handled.

@Don
We completely agree with what you're saying. We already have a solution to the problem next season. However, we're interpreting current rules(from the end of CL7) as best as we can. I'd like to point out that it is impossible to come up with a comprehensive rule set which covers every situation. Every player in the league is welcome to ask for more clarification on the ruleset at the start of a season. However, from time to time there will be ambiguity in the wording of a rule and we'll have to judge on a case-by-case basis.

Plat, PJ is unlikely to join that game until the end of August, since he's away until then. Perhaps remake it then.
